His evil deeds earned him a spot on the bounty list and Daily Jinx. He is a wanted Criminal sought after by bounty hunters and soldiers alike.

As of now, he plans to control a Greater Basilisk to wreak havoc in all cities and kingdoms in the desert.

Description:

“Wherever this beast crawled, lines of statues followed.”

A century-old serpentine basilisk that lived through time. One of the most fearsome and dangerous creatures a traveler might encounter roaming the desert. It is feared not only for its terrifying size and petrifying gaze but also for its potent venom.

Captured and bound by Amol Sha, this beast follows all the evil Shaman’s every command.

For Amol Sha to continue bind the beast to him, he needed the famed [KangKong Balls], which is a known favourite to many creatures, and continually feed it to the beast.

Ren replaced [Snuff Light] and [Shadow in the Night] in his mind palace with the Shaman’s [Shamanic Ward] and [Spirit Conjuration].

[Petrifying Gaze] was good and all but it required him to remove his cloak and show his eyes. It was useful in his other identity but most of the time when he’s hiding in his cloak, it was useless. And he couldn’t afford to erase anymore skill in his Mind Palace at the moment.

He then swallowed hard as his gaze drifted once more in the hall.

If it was the Shaman alone, he was confident he could defeat it. However, faced with dozens of Tieflings and a Greater Basilisk, Ren would definitely die a horrific death. And he was sure that the EXP penalty for that was huge.

Ren already got the information he needed. There was no need to stay here any longer. He would go back to this place after he was better prepared. He deduced that he needed at least ten members or so to clear this lair.

Ren was about to turn back as quietly as he could when he didn’t expect to find Lily blocking his path, extending a hand at him.

“Give me Pii, or I’ll scream and get their attention,” she demanded. It seemed like Ren was about to turn back upon the face of so many Tieflings, and she took advantage of it. She didn’t care if she died since she was just starting anyway.

“. . .” Ren was silent for a moment before he released a deep breath. He had enough of the girl. He took Pii and handed it to her extending hand.

Pii just looked at Ren with its big eyes and chirp. Its head shifted from Ren to Lily like it didn’t know what was happening.

Lily caught her breath when she finally felt Pii in her arms. It was soft and silky to the touch, like the most expensive silk.

Lily face brightened into a wide smile. Good thing that she persisted until this part. Now she had her own pet.

Without turning back, Lily immediately logged out with a big grin on her face while hugging Pii close to her.

Ren just smirked while he crossed his hands upon the sight of the disappearing girl. He shook his head when Lily even stuck out her tongue at him.

And before Lily could thoroughly disappear, Ren called Pii to him, and the creature immediately flew to his neck.

Lily was stunned before she checked her hands and found that Pii was really gone. What happened?! She thought that she had already acquired it!

Wasn’t it how it was supposed to be?

When the only thing left of Lily was her head, Ren grinned and said, “Let me tell you this. A pet can only be given as a gift to an animist or hunter. Best remember that in the future.”

Ren’s tone was mocking, and it was enough to make Lily scream at the top of her lungs with a vengeance just as her mouth disappeared until she fully logged out from the game.

However, short as it was, Lily’s scream was heard by the Tieflings, and their piercing eyes zeroed at the archway where Ren was standing.

That girl . . . Ren cursed under his breath.

[WARNING! The Tieflings have spotted you!]

[Engage!]

There was no other option and Ren could no longer log out or flee. The only thing he could do was die a horrific death.

Ren gritted his teeth.

That girl was nothing but trouble. If he knew this would happen, he should have fed her to the Tieflings!

For the sake of his family, Ren embarked on the popular VRMMORPG, COVENANT, that used real-time in-game currency. But being a mediocre player who only knows how to gather information, he was put in a supporting role.

As the game explodes in popularity and every multibillion-dollar company invested in the game, things have turned for the worse for Ren. Due to the amount of information he gathered, the cheats, secrets, quests, and bugs he discovered, he was silent in fear of selling the information to the other guilds.

But given a second chance, he went back in time when his father was still alive and COVENANT was just in its starting phase.

This time . . . he wouldn’t be that guy on the side who gathered information from day in and day out for ten years.

Equipped with the games knowledge he accumulated, he will become . . . an Alchemist!

Chrono Mage? Djin Master? Summoner? Necromancer?

Chaos Lord?

What good are those?

Sure they’re powerful and rare classes and sought after by guilds, but it’s the alchemist who forged artifacts and concocts rare items and potions that gets the most coins at the end of the day!

It was better than being a blacksmith or a crafter! Plus, he could use all sorts of magic without limit to race and class!

It was the ultimate class! And no one even knows it!
