Zhuo Yun recalled Min Yu and Huo Yao coming out from the basement last night. He hesitated briefly before speaking his mind. “Boss, I’m not sure if I should say this.”
“What?” asked Min Yu without even raising his head.
“Miss Huo is still in university. If you expose her to the Weapons Bureau matters, it might attract trouble for her,” said Zhuo Yun tactfully.
People at the Weapons Bureau were all waiting for Min Yu to make a mistake. Even though Miss Huo was from a powerful family, her family was not involved with the bureau. If anyone discovered her connection to the Weapons Bureau, people might use it against her.
“Zhuo Yun is right. This is all for her own good.” Zhuo Yun had already mentioned this to Yang Yi on their way to the villa. Since the bureau’s top secret matters were involved, Yang Yi agreed with Zhuo Yun.
After all, they were not married yet, so it make complete sense to keep bureau matters confidential from her.
Min Yu’s hands paused as he listened to them. A couple of seconds later, he asked mildly. “What time is it?”
Zhuo Yun looked at Yang Yi. He did not understand why Min Yu was asking for the time. He looked at his watch and promptly replied. “Almost quarter to nine.”
Min Yu put down his hand, got up from the couch, and took his coat from the side.
He did not continue on the subject with Zhuo Yun and Yang Yi.
But Zhuo Yun was not done talking yet. When he noticed his boss standing up, he touched his nose quizzically. He did not know what his boss wanted to do, so he asked softly. “Boss, are you going somewhere?”
Min Yu raised his head and said calmly, “I’m going to Tsing University.”
“What do you mean? Are you sending Miss Huo to Tsing University?” asked Zhuo Yun promptly.
Min Yu did the last button on his coat before he looked at Zhuo Yun and Yang Yi. “Go to the basement.”
The moment he finished his sentence, he veered his eyes and headed to the door unhurriedly without talking to them.
When Zhuo Yun and Yang Yi heard the door closing, they finally snapped out of their daze.
“The boss wants us to go to the basement. Does this mean he has finished assembling the K-1?” Zhuo Yun scratched his head looking at Yang Yi.
Yang Yi said nothing and simply turned for the basement.
Zhuo Yun followed behind him.
When the two of them got downstairs, they tightened their fists when they saw something sitting on the table covered by some fabric.
Yang Yi reached his hand out and removed the fabric to reveal black heavy artillery made of metal.
Zhuo Yun exclaimed uncontrollably. “I can’t believe that he managed to assemble this!”
A couple of days ago, Min Yu had mentioned that he did not make any headway and needed more time.
Yang Yi walked around the table and scrutinized the weapon from all angles before he finally said, “It looks exactly like the drawing.”
“Don’t you know our boss? It was just a matter of time before he succeeded in putting this together.” Zhuo Yun was very confident about Min Yu. “I wonder how it will work with heavy artillery vehicles.”
Yang Yi glanced at Zhuo Yun. “Don’t you know who asked for this? What do you think?”
Zhuo Yun touched his nose and turned to look at the weapon. Their boss had worked on it for nearly a month, so it was naturally very powerful artillery.
“Now that the gun is assembled, those people at the bureau will probably be terribly disappointed.” Zhuo Yun sighed as he spoke. He could not wait to see the looks on their faces when they saw the weapon.
