By the time Huo Yao got back to the training facility, 30 minutes had gone by. Since she had sent Huo Changfeng a text message, he was completely unsuspecting when she returned.
He simply thought that she was having stomach troubles after dinner and did not insist on racing any more.
Huo Changfeng checked his watch and said, “You have school tomorrow. Since it is getting late, we should go home.”
Huo Yao was about to make an excuse and leave anyway, so she simply nodded. “In that case, we can race some other time.”
Huo Changfeng acknowledged softly. He turned to glance at the Specter and gave the keys to Huo Yao once more.
Huo Yao scratched her head. Since Uncle Changfeng insisted, she accepted the car.
After getting into the car, Huo Yao put up the hood. Before long, they left the training facility.
Huo Yao did not get Chen Ming to send her home. She pulled up by the roadside halfway home where she took out her phone and changed it to computer mode.
After a couple of minutes, she managed to remove all traces of the events that had transpired tonight from the training facility’s surveillance footage, including Chen Ming and his subordinates.
However, she did not do anything about the footage at the professional racetrack.
After all, she was in a car the entire time, wearing a helmet. Even if there were drones around and filmed her from all angles, it was impossible to capture her face.

Min Yu’s somewhat deep voice could be heard over the phone. “Are you sleeping?”
Huo Yao held her phone. She did not understand why he suddenly called her. Since it was impossible for him to recognize her at the racing track earlier, she suppressed her voice slightly and said, “Uh huh. I just went to bed. Do you have a signal now?”
Min Yu turned off the music in his car and acknowledged softly. He did not slow down and continued driving to the estate at a faster speed than usual.
Huo Yao rubbed the steering wheel with her left hand and asked. “Why did you call me at this hour?”
Min Yu raised his head and looked at the estate entrance up ahead. In the end, he simply said, “Nothing. Have an early night.”
Huo Yao acknowledged him. “You too. Good night.”
There was a cool look in Min Yu’s eyes. He paused before he said, “Huo Yao.”
Huo Yao’s heart suddenly skipped a beat. She cleared her throat and said, “Uh huh.”
A while later…
“Good night.”
Min Yu’s voice sounded particularly gentle. It felt as though there was some kind of magic coming from it. Huo Yao’s ears could not help feeling warm upon hearing him.
She hurriedly took her phone from her ear and hung up.
Since the air felt stifled in the car, Huo Yao opened the window to let some cold night wind into the car. The inexplicable sensation coursing through her gradually calmed down.
She started the engine again.
