He grinned the way villains did when they got their way, and he patted her head. “You’re welcome.” What he would do when they reached their destination was to tell her that he got drunk, had a little too much, and blacked out.
But Su Jin knew none of these. She was even appreciative of the generosity and compassion, and he caught on in the end. She hoped this would be the modus operandi from today onwards.
