Yan Jinyi asked with a look of puzzlement, “Who are you calling Milady?”
Still as gentle and poised as ever, Huo Xishen said, “Who else except you?”
‘Eh?’
Yan Jinyi thought about it for a long while, finding it hard to wrap her head around it.
‘Oh, right, I’m still that dog’s wife. There’s nothing wrong with him addressing me that way.’
“Tsk, it seems that you and your wife don’t have a loving relationship, Mr. Huo. Second Young Mistress Huo doesn’t even want to admit her identity as your wife.”
Tang Qing made a particularly sarcastic remark.
Huo Xishen ignroed him and instead sat down beside Yan Jinyi. “Indeed, Mr. Tang is jealous.”
Puzzled, Tang Qing asked, “Jealous? What for?”
Huo Xishen cast him a lazy glance. “My wife is such an intelligent woman. It’s a shame you can’t win her heart.”
‘Damn it!’
‘Huo Xishen has got such a sharp tongue!’
Tang Qing looked at Yan Jinyi and secretly swore that he would never lose to Huo Xishen like his grandfather had lost to Old Mr. Huo.
He had decided that he would work hard to win Yan Jinyi over from Huo Xishen from that day onwards. He was bent on making Yan Jinyi divorce Huo Xishen and then marry him to become Mrs. Tang!
He combed the hair in front of his forehead with one hand and crossed one leg over the other. Placing both hands on the sofa, he said roguishly, “Second Young Mistress Huo is young and beautiful. Unfortunately, Mr. Huo doesn’t know how to appreciate her. I happen to be single and I need a wife. Second Young Mistress Huo seems to fit my criteria and standards for a wife. All of a sudden, everyone turned to look at Huo Xishen.
Huo Xishen leaned against the couch in a particularly sluggish manner, exuding his nobility. His indifference made it seem like he had never taken Tang Qing seriously in the first place.
“Milady, Mr. Tang is very fond of you. Should you express something?”
‘Express something?’
‘Hah…’
Yan Jinyi squinted and glowered at Tang Qing menacingly. “You’re not fit to marry me.”
Tang Qing’s smile stiffened.
Huo Xishen was delighted.
He looked at Yan Jinyi with a smile on his face. ‘Indeed, you’re worthy of being my wife.’
Just as everyone was swooning over Yan Jinyi’s loyalty towards Huo Xishen…
“It’s already devastating enough to have stepped into the grave of marriage by getting married to Huo Xishen. Yet, you still want me to jump from this grave to another? Can you make me the richest person in the world or give me immortality? You’re so incompetent and you still have the cheek to ask me to marry you. You must be dreaming.”
‘Idiot, what kind of a fool is this? So what if you’re a rogue? I’m a bandit!’
“I’m really not exaggerating, you should be calling me your ancestor!”
Tang Qing licked his lower lip. ‘It’s a pity this woman is not a gangster.’
Huo Xishen didn’t expect to be targeted too. Looking at Tang Qing gloatingly, he said, “Mr. Tang, you heard it, my wife wants you to dream on.”
‘Damn it Huo Xishen, I’m dead against you!’
“Second Young Mistress Huo, I like how feisty you are. Mr. Huo is very evil, cunning, and brutal. He can be very ruthless too.
