However, she only needed to play some tricks, and he would be back under her thumb. She knew he would then place his arms around her waist and ask her lovingly if she had sprained her ankle.
Tang Nuan buried her face into Qin Yinan’s chest, and a confident smile blossomed on her face. However, before her smile could even reach her lips, the man’s hands landed on her shoulders, and he pushed her roughly out of his embrace.
The burgeoning smile on Tang Nuan’s face shattered instantly, and she looked up at Qin Yinan with utter disbelief.
Qin Yinan ignored her gaze and reached out for a glass of wine after he removed his hands on her shoulders. He then turned to leave without saying a word to her.
“Qin Yinan!” Tang Nuan suddenly yelled his name. As the words left her mouth, she realized this was the first time she was the one to break the cold war between them in their relationship that had lasted for years.
Qin Yinan stopped moving, and as he prepared to turn, the phone in his pocket started to ring. He pulled it out without hesitation and glanced at the Caller ID. His face froze for a moment when he realized the call was coming from Su Zhinian. Then, he answered it in a hurry.
“Hello…”
“Have you seen Song Qingchun?”
“I have…”
“When was this?”
“About ten minutes ago…”
“She is in danger now.”
“Huh?” Right then, Qin Yinan started to scan the venue for Song Qingchun’s shadow.
“How would you know that?” As he posed Su Zhinian that question, he turned toward the direction Song Qingchun had headed down earlier. He was about the take the first step when Tang Nuan rushed before him to block his way.
