Chapter 155: Impending Confession

It was bright and early in the morning when a figure walked up the clean path toward the university gates.

“Hello, yeah, I don’t know where to find any delicious breakfast. Let’s just go to the cafeteria.” Yu Luocheng said. “I’ll go back to the dorm for a while, you just need to follow the path from the gates into the university.”

“Where did you go if you’re not in the dorm so early in the morning?” Yang Qianqian asked.

“Morning practice…”

When a geek says that he went for morning practice on his own, that usually gave rise to a lot of questions.

After breakfast, Yang Qianqian took a small notebook out from her bag. She turned to Yu Luocheng and said happily, “I’ve already noted down Shanghai’s great places to play and eat. Let’s go there today and eat some anchovies, alright?”

“Sure.” Yu Luocheng nodded in agreement.

Sitting in the car, you could note the distinct difference between Shanghai and Lecheng. Lecheng was clean and quiet, running along the river which flowed to the east. Shanghai was prosperous, crowded, and noisy, giving people a feeling of overpopulation.

People loved to have fun, and where the crowds were, there they would go, especially during National Day. In the subway when you see the crowds, you would secretly hate on the fact as to why LOL wasn’t popular a generation earlier. If it had been, the population of this era could have been effectively controlled.

How, you ask?

This could be seen from a rich point of view. In the last era, men and women who had nothing to do at night would indulge in shameful things!

“Follow me and don’t get lost. There’s so many people, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find you.” Yu Luocheng said to Yang Qianqian who was beside him.

“Okay.” Yang Qianqian’s fingers held Yu Luocheng’s sleeves. She wasn’t used to such a big crowd which made you feel like you were in a can of sardines.

Yu Luocheng eyed the stairway which was filled with men, women and children, and then glanced behind to see another large crowd of people. The feeling of being in the middle of such a crowd made him uncomfortable. Feeling a slight push from behind, Yu Luocheng frowned and grabbed Yang Qianqian’s hand which had been hanging onto his sleeves.

Yang Qianqian jumped slightly when she felt it, her face turning red as she sneaked a peek at Yu Luocheng’s face, and she hurriedly lowered her head. There really was a lot of people around them and it felt as if they were being surrounded by waves in the ocean. The waves could come anytime and crash into them, and the feeling of that on top of being surrounded by strangers was unnerving to a girl.

Yang Qianqian was starting to regret coming here, there were too many people, and the mood to play was also ruined. She was also aware of a few well-dressed men inching closer to her, and in fear that she would lose sight of Yu Luocheng, her hands came up to grasp his sleeves.

What she didn’t expect was for Yu Luocheng to grab her hands instead. The moment his skin touched hers, Yang Qianqian felt a current running up her hands, shocking her and making her heart beat faster in her chest.

After that electric shock, her heart warmed because the touch let her feel more secure amidst a sea of people. It felt like the crowd had disappeared…

Because of the effect from this small action by Yu Luocheng, it was able to cover up his previous wrongdoings , as this guy had the most unscrupulous behaviour.

Walking into the subway, Yang Qianqian was unable to speak, her face as red as a tomato. She didn’t know whether it was due to the heat or embarrassment. Yu Luocheng didn’t say anything either, he wasn’t really thinking much when he held her hands either. He had grabbed her hand with thoughts on protecting the girl beside him, and now, he wondered if he would dare to continue with this after they had emerged out from the subway.

Thinking about it, Yang Qianqian’s hands were really smooth and soft…

Once they exited the subway, they let go of each others hand not really knowing why. It wasn’t that Yu Luocheng didn’t want to hold her hands, but you couldn’t expect a geek to be able to form comprehensive sentences when holding onto a goddess’ hand. Being able to keep his cool was already a feat itself!

***

Today’s journey, where they went, what they ate, Yu Luocheng couldn’t remember anything of it. He only remembered that he had held Yang Qianqian’s smooth and soft hands in the subway, and that was the highlight of his day. Even though they had let go when they reached a less populated area, wasn’t this considered a major breakthrough?

In Yu Luocheng’s mind, today was a day of great achievement. He would definitely remember this day forever.

***

After they got back, Yang Qianqian still refused to let Yu Luocheng into her apartment to look around. Watching as Yang Qianqian swayed her hips and walked into the apartment, Yu Luocheng felt a jolt of disappointment. He felt that he should find an appropriate time to confess to her, the time was ripe already.

“There’s still a few more days, I should cultivate more of the atmosphere like during the subway incident today.” Yu Luocheng muttered to himself, taking a deep breath to calm his mind. “Yeah, I have to keep it together.”

Yu Luocheng had already decided to confess within the next few days that Yang Qianqian was still in Shanghai. He had already been studying in university for a month, and a big portion of his time was invested in texting Yang Qianqian. Every night after they finished talking, he would read the texts again and again, looking for any clues that could lead to his success.

Yu Luocheng was very sure that he liked her a lot.

It wasn’t because she was a C-cup nor the fact that she had a sexy and curvy waist. Since he had entered university, he would dream of her beautiful smile every night, and the adorable pout she made when she was angry only made her all the more attractive to him.

***

After losing his beloved competition, Yu Luocheng had been lost for a very long time, he had been lazy and unmotivated to find a new path. After meeting Yang Qianqian, he had felt his heart starting to beat again, and it was the kind of beat that signified joy and hopefulness.

Wasn’t this damn feeling love?

His confession had to succeed no matter what! The sexual welfare of the lower part of his body and his happiness in life would depend on these few days!

***

Back in the dorm, Yu Luocheng was thinking about how to handle his confession. Not even a few minutes into this, his snores filled the empty dorm.

What kind of mental preparation, what was to come, what kind of confession, he didn’t know where to start.

No matter, he was just too sleepy to think about it now.
