Chapter 876: I Missed You. I Was Upset, and I Couldn’t Sleep
“I know that I’m pretty. You don’t need to always mention that, or it’ll become boring,” Nian Xi fastened her seatbelt as well.
Jiang Yuning was in a much better mood now. He wrote her another note —’We’ll have steak in Paris.’
Nian Xi laughed. “You don’t eat meat, do you?”
Jiang Yuning wrote —’You eat steak, I eat vegetable salad.’
Nian Xi watched him writing word by word, and that made her feel very annoyed. She took away his notepad and said, “Do you know how to make me like you more? Talk to me, instead of writing.”
Jiang Yuning looked at her with a deep frown, as if he had fallen into some kind of difficulty.
“Our mouths are for talking, right?” Nian Xi tried to persuade him. “If talking is exhausting, will kissing be exhausting too? You’ll have a girlfriend someday, and you’ll kiss her. Kissing requires you to move your mouth too. Or, are you gonna simply press your lips against her without moving your lips and tongue?”
Jiang Yuning eyes popped with a confused look, as if he had just walked into a new world.
He attempted to grab the notepad but failed. With no other choice, he said, “Why move my tongue… when kissing?”
Nian Xi silently clicked her tongue. He’s so innocent, she thought.
“Of course you need to move your tongue, or you won’t have any feelings. Do you understand?” Nian Xi explained patiently.
Jiang Yuning was even more confused. “What feelings?” He asked.
Nian Xi opened her mouth and said, “Well… I can’t describe it with language. You can try it with a woman someday, and then you’ll know.”
Jiang Yuning thought for a moment, nodded and said, “Are you a woman?”
“Sure…”
“Can I try it with you?” Jiang Yuning blinked, then looked at her with an innocent curious face.
Nian Xi really didn’t know how to respond.
“Hah!” Fang Qi who sat ahead of him couldn’t help but burst in laughter.
He stood up, turned to Nian Xi and laughed. “Nian Xi, can you not talk about dirty topics like that with him? You’re really an open-minded girl.”
“Do not eavesdrop on our conversation.” Nian Xi gave him a glare, her face slightly reddened.
Fang Qi ignored her and turned to Jiang Yuning saying, “I’m telling you. You need to try it. Really. You’ll be overwhelmed with joy. It’ll be fantastic…”
Nian Xi shivered and said, “You’re making a romantic thing sound disgusting. Sit down. The plane is taking off.”
“Try it,” Fang Qi repeated it again, and then sat back into his seat.
Nian Yuning turned back to Nian Xi with a confused look.
Nian Xi worried that he might say something shocking, so she hurriedly told him, “You can only kiss your girlfriend. I am only your friend.”
Jiang Yuning stayed silent, lowered his head, then fell into deep thought.
Not long after the plane took off, Jiang Yuning became so sleepy that he couldn’t keep his eyes open.
“Didn’t you sleep last night?” Nian Xi asked.
Jiang Yuning shook his head, staring at the notepad in her hand.
He didn’t want to talk. He wanted to write.
“Answer my question by talking, or don’t answer it at all.” Nian Xi refused to give him the note pad.
He gave her a glance with discontent, but then said with a low voice, “I missed you. I was upset. I couldn’t sleep.”
Nian Xi was delighted, as he finally talked. “Get some sleep then. I won’t bother you.”
Jiang Yuning nodded and closed his eyes. Soon, he fell asleep.”
Nian Xi asked a flight attendant for a blanket, and then covered Jiang Yuning with it.
The sunlight poured onto his face through the window. His skin was tender and snow-white; his eyelashes were thick and long, like a pair of tiny hand fans.
Nian Xi wanted so badly to pinch his cheeks. He looked so adorable and peaceful in sleep.
