“So, are you saying that you’re not going to marry me?” he asked as he stood up. He walked to her side. He put one hand on the back of her hair and the other on the table. He narrowed his eyes and moved closer to her. “Who do you want to marry? Shi Xiang?”
He breathed into her face. His face was handsome it made her heart race. However, he also looked dangerous. She felt it a little hard to breathe.
“Eh… Isn’t it too early for us to talk about marriage?” she asked. “Liuxi, you’re only 20. You haven’t even reached the legal age of marriage.”
“You brought up this topic, didn’t you?” Mo Liuxi knocked on the table. “Is it because I’m younger than you? It’s alright. We’ll get married when I get to the legal age of marriage. That’ll be the year after next. If you can’t wait that long, we’ll get married abroad. I can marry legally in some countries.”
“I was just casually talking. Sit down,” Yan Su said.
She dragged him into the chair next to her and put some bread into his mouth to stop him from talking. She shouldn’t have asked. She needed to take a pregnancy test first.
For a female star, buying a pregnancy test could be a difficult thing. Thankfully, many places provided home delivery services. They would wrap the products up so people couldn’t see what had been purchased.
Thursday, the tests were delivered to Yan Su’s flat. She quickly went into the bathroom to take a test. Seeing that single bar on the stick, she sighed with relief. Thankfully, she was not pregnant. She was probably just overworked, which was why her period was late.
She suddenly got a call from Xiang Wan. “You’re going to Xia City TV Station at Christmas.”
Yan Su replied, “Have you talked to Chi Shengxu’s manager?”
“Let me finish. You’re not performing with Chi Shengxu. You’ll be doing the show with Director Li’s crew,” Xiang Wan said.
Yan Su was momentarily speechless. “Aren’t they going to start shooting the film the 26th? Why are they still going on TV? Besides, it’s pointless for them to do the advertising before the film is done, isn’t it?”
Xiang Wan sighed and said, “I know. The film crew talked to me this morning. I couldn’t say no. Director Li said the other actors and actresses all have full schedules, so he invited you and the few who had time. I’ve thought about it. It’ll be fine. You’ll be on the show anyway. Whom you’re doing it with doesn’t really matter. You need to help those people with singing, though. I heard that none of them are good at singing.”
Yan Su remained silent. She hoped that the one who lived next door wouldn’t be on the show. To be honest, she was not capable of bettering his terrible singing.

“Did you tell Director Li to bring his crew to the Christmas show?” she asked.
Mo Liuxi was watering the plants on his balcony. He raised his eyebrows and lazily said, “Yeah, I told Director Li that advertising-in-advance is necessary.”
“You pulled strings.” Yan Su clenched her teeth and put a hand on her forehead. He had won. “Aren’t you aware of how badly you sing? Who gave you the courage to sing on TV and torture the audience? Can’t the Christmas Show bring them some real fun?”
