Feng Wu nodded and went with Gongsun Qing.
The two of them sat in the pavilion and chatted happily.
However, Feng Wu never let her guard down.

“You’re doing great. You’re in Year 3 now, so you must be a Spiritual Elder now,” said Gongsun Qing enviously.
Feng Wu didn’t want to reveal her real ability, but Chaoge answered for her.

Feng Wu didn’t object.
When they got there, they saw a girl squatting in the bushes and crying as another girl scolded her in a condescending manner.
“Gu Shuyi, she’s your younger sister. Why did you hit her?”
Gongsun Qing seemed to know the Gu family well. She glared at Gu Shuyi and defended the crying girl.
Gu Shuyi was the eighth child of the Gu family, whereas that girl was only the daughter of a concubine. She was known as “Twelve.”
Seeing Gongsun Qing and Feng Wu, Gu Shuyi snorted and grumbled, “It’s my unlucky day!”
Twelve only dared to cry out loud when Gu Shuyi was gone.
