However, when she saw Qin Chuan talk to Jian Yiling in such a gentle manner, it was as though a thousand ants were gnawing at her heart.
When Zhai Yunsheng saw the scene in front of him, his heart did not hurt. Instead, his chest felt tight.
Then, he heard people chatter not far away from him:
“I heard that Young Master Qin is going to dance with a very special lady today.”
“Yeah, that’s true. When Young Master Qin was talking to someone just now, he told them that he was going to dance with the most important person in his life. He said this with a smile on his face. And thus, I assume that he’s going to dance with her for the first dance of the day.”
“Wait, does that mean that this isn’t just the return of the Young Master of the Qin family? Rather, he’s also bringing back the future Young Lady of the Qin family as well?”
Zhai Yunsheng’s bodyguards noticed that Master Sheng’s face had visibly darkened.
In the banquet hall, elegant music began to play.
Zhai Yunsheng suddenly got up. His long legs took big steps as he walked straight across the ballroom.
As soon as he moved, everyone looked at him in surprise.

Jian Yiling was currently burying her face in food.

However, he still wore his clothes the same as before. The top two buttons of his shirt were still unbuttoned.
The skin that was under his shirt was still as white as ever.
As Jian Yiling looked at him, she knew that he was going to be angry.
She had broken her promise to him.
In reality, Zhai Yunsheng was indeed angry. However, the reason for his anger was far more complicated than Jian Yiling’s simple thoughts.
Zhai Yunsheng’s hands were clenched into a fist in his suit trousers. He felt his knuckles click.
The two of them stared at each other. They did not speak for a long time.
Yu Xi looked at the two of them. He felt that the atmosphere was not right and thus, he hurriedly spoke out to try and break the frigid atmosphere.
“Master Sheng, you haven’t seen God Ling in quite some time, right? What a coincidence… Why don’t you sit down and have something to eat together…”
At the end of the sentence, Yu Xi’s voice began to trail off.
The atmosphere had become worse. It felt as though Master Sheng was about to get angry at any moment.
