Jian Yunmo received a call from Jian Yuncheng.
“You’re in Tonghai City?”
The voice on the other end of the call sounded as though it was trying to restrain his emotions. Jian Yunmo was unable to tell whether or not his brother was angry or sad.
“Yeah.”
“Is Yiling there too?” Jian Yuncheng asked. He had already seen the news on the Internet.
“Yeah.”
“You should have told me about it in advance.”
His own sister had made it to the top twenty of his company’s official tournament. However, he had only learned about it when he saw the news.
Although Jian Yuncheng was the company’s CEO, it was impossible for him to keep an eye on everything. Due to this reason, he hadn’t seen the list of participants of the tournament.
However, Huo Yu should have known about this. He was meant to be picking up Jian Yiling’s name on the Internet. This meant that he should have known ages ago that Jian Yiling was participating in the tournament.
And that guy didn’t tell him?!
Ahh, this was something that Jian Yuncheng definitely planned to settle later on.
“I’ve been busy with a lot of things lately. I forgot about it.”
It was obvious that Jian Yunmo had this on his mind. However, he didn’t say anything on purpose.
“I’m also in Tonghai City right now,” Jian Yuncheng replied.
As the CEO of the company, he naturally had to come over when there was a major tournament that was held.
“Do you want to come over or something?” Jian Yunmo asked. He could hear the words that Jian Yuncheng was planning to say.
Jian Yuncheng did not reply to this. He didn’t say yes nor no.
Upon hearing no reply, Jian Yunmo continued to speak: “Well, I’ve heard that the seafood in Tonghai City is quite good. We will be hungry at night. It would be nice if someone would deliver us a midnight snack.”
“Let’s talk about it later. I’m a bit busy right now.” Jian Yuncheng replied. Then, he hung up the phone.
Half an hour later, the doorbell rang in Jian Yunmo’s room.
When Jian Yunmo opened the door, he saw his brother. His brother was dressed in dark clothes and had a serious look on his face.
He had an assistant following him as well. His assistant was carrying a lot of plastic bags in his hands.
Jian Yuncheng turned around and spoke to everyone else in the room: “Your midnight snacks are here.”
When they saw the person delivering the snacks, Yu Xi and Jian Yujie were too afraid to smile.
Both of them were a little afraid of Jian Yuncheng. However, this wasn’t because Jian Yuncheng had done something to them. Rather, it was because Jian Yuncheng’s aura was quite intimidating.
Jian Yunmo was the first to move. He picked out a few things from the various bags and brought them over to Jian Yiling. He had selected the foods that Jian Yiling liked eating the most.
“Eat more if you want to grow taller,” Jian Yunmo said to Jian Yiling.
Jian Yunmo knew what his sister wanted. Jian Yiling wanted to grow taller and become cooler.
And thus, Jian Yiling began to seriously eat the seafood in front of her.
Jian Yunmo was in no hurry to eat the seafood. Instead, he helped Jian Yiling pick out the meat from the conch. He cut off the parts that could not be eaten.
Jian Yuncheng watched Jian Yunmo do this. He was unable to cut in.
At first, Jian Yujie and Yu Xi were too afraid to start eating. However, once they began to eat, they were the ones who ate the most.
Mantis shrimp, prawn, Pacific blue swimming crab, clam, elephant trunk clam, short-necked clam, oyster, conch…
They were all very fresh. They were all caught from the sea not long ago.
The chef’s cooking skills were also incredibly good. It seemed as though Jian Yuncheng had put some thought into the midnight snacks.
Jian Yuncheng watched his younger siblings eat.
When it seemed like Jian Yiling was done with eating, Jian Yuncheng asked his sister: “Do you like to play this game?”
It was only today that Jian Yuncheng realized that not only was Jian Yiling playing this game, but she was also incredibly good at the game as well.
“Yu Xi likes playing the game,” Jian Yiling replied.
Her reply was not what Jian Yuncheng expected.
Initially, he thought that his company’s game was liked by his little sister.
Jian Yuncheng turned around to look at Yu Xi. Yu Xi immediately stopped eating the seafood that was in front of him.
Yu Xi felt that Jian Yuncheng’s gaze was not so friendly.
However, he had gotten permission to play ‘Zerg Invasion’ with God Ling from Grandma Jian! If Jian Yuncheng wanted to settle something with him, Grandma Jian would have his back!
