As time passed, the argument between Jian Yiling and Jian Yunnao got more and more intense.
“You’re my brother! Of course, you have to listen to me! Who’s more important to you? Me or her?”
“How can this be compared? You’re my sister and she’s my friend! I can’t choose between the two of you! And furthermore, I can’t live my whole life without making friends of the opposite gender! You can’t be so unreasonable.”
“Well, I don’t agree with this! And now you’re yelling at me because of her! She’s just a hussy! The only thing that she does is seduce men! I don’t want her to stay in the house anymore! I’m going to tell Grandma to kick them out!”
“Jian Yiling, don’t you dare! Don’t you dare do something stupid like that” Jian Yunnao cried out. He immediately grabbed onto Jian Yiling before he continued to speak, “This job is incredibly important to Shiyun and her family! You can’t just ruin their family because you’re upset!”
“What am I ruining? I’m Jian Yiling! The daughter of the Jian family! Why can’t I fire a maid that I don’t like? I just don’t feel sorry for her! I don’t want to sympathize with her! I just don’t like the look of her! Furthermore, if you still recognize me as your sister, you should immediately cut off contact with her! Otherwise, I won’t be your sister anymore! Just go and live with that maid for the rest of your life!”
Jian Yiling was very agitated as she argued with Jian Yunnao. Her entire face was flushed red with anger.
The video carried on playing the scene as more memories surfaced in Jian Yunnao’s mind.
He remembered what they had argued about. However, in the period after the incident, he had been too upset to remember the details.
Finally, the scene came to the most important moment of the video.
He had stepped backward onto nothing and rolled down the stairs.
“Bang——”
There was no sound in the surveillance video. However, the loud bang echoed through Jian Yunnao’s mind.
The loud crash was accompanied by the sound of breaking glass.

He was completely stunned as his eyes stared at the screen. It was as though he had been petrified.
There was no one else in the room. He was by himself.
And thus, he sat there along for a long, long time. He kept staring at the screen in front of him.
It was only after the video had been repeated two more times that he finally reacted.
Before he knew it, there were tears that streamed down his cheeks.
His sister hadn’t pushed him.
He had been the one who had stepped back onto nothing. He had fallen on his own!
They had been arguing. Pushing, pulling, and fighting.
But in the final scene of the video, he had been too agitated to notice his surroundings. It had been completely his fault.

His thoughts immediately flashed to the things that he had said before. He had yelled at Jian Yiling, verbally abused her, and even thrown a lunch box at her face.
All of a sudden, Jian Yunnao felt as though someone had grabbed him by the throat.
