Teardrops began to well in Zhai Xiaobao’s eyes. Master Zhai felt incredibly distressed when he saw this.
Zhai Xiaobao’s registered name was Zhai Yuze. However, they hadn’t decided on a nickname yet. Originally, Master Zhai wanted Zhai Yunsheng to give his son a nickname. Whenever he mentioned this to him, Zhai Yunsheng would suggest Zhai Erdan.
As no one liked this suggestion, until now, everyone referred to him as Zhai Xiaobao.
“Good baby, good baby. Please don’t cry. Don’t you worry. I will go and beat up your father!” Master Zhai coaxed his great-grandson.
As he said this, Master Zhai fiercely glared at Zhai Yunsheng.
“Grandpa Zhai, hand Little Zeze to me,” Jian Yiling asked as she took the child away from Master Zhai’s arms.
The little boy immediately stopped crying as he arrived in his mother’s arms.
Upon seeing this, Zhai Yunsheng glared at the little brat. Was this kid intentionally doing this?
Jian Yiling turned around to look at Zhai Yunsheng. It appeared as though she had intentions to rediscuss their previous plans.
“Bring him along. And bring along two wet nurses as well.”
Otherwise, the brat would definitely interrupt their sleep every single night.
Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on Jian Yiling’s face.
When he saw the smile on her face, Zhai Yunsheng no longer felt any resentment.
Even if the brat was noisy, it was okay as long as she was happy.
Zhai Xiaobao nestled in Jian Yiling’s arms and slept soundly during the plane ride.
“Hand him to me,” Zhai Yunsheng said as he attempted to take Zhai Xiaobao away from Jian Yiling’s arms.
Even though he was small, it was tiring to hold him all the time.
However, as soon as Zhai Xiaobao left Jian Yiling’s embrace, he began to cry.
“Waaaa… Waaaa…”
The little boy’s cries resonated throughout the private plane.
This made Zhai Yunsheng frown. He sternly told the little boy in his arms: “No crying.”
However, the little boy did not listen to him. In fact, not only did he not stop crying, but he cried even louder.
As Zhai Yunsheng could not stand this, he asked the wet nurse to take the child away.
However, the wet nurse could not stop Zhai Xiaobao’s tears. In the end, he returned back to Jian Yiling’s arms.
Miraculously, as soon as he returned to his mother’s arms, he immediately stopped crying and fell asleep within a split second.
Upon seeing this, the wet nurse explained: “He stays inside the mother’s belly for ten months and listens to her heartbeat all the time. That’s why he feels especially secure and safe when his mother holds him.”
Although this was based on science, it still did not lessen Zhai Yunsheng’s disdain for the little boy.
“The thing didn’t have such a big reaction when he was being held by other members of the Zhai family and the Jian family though.”
The wet nurse explained: “It may be because of the flight.”
Zhai Yunsheng turned around and said to Jian Yiling: “If you get tired, let him cry for a while. It’s not a big deal. If he cries more, he’s just exercising his lungs.”
Despite nodding, Jian Yiling did not want her son to cry.
After twelve hours, the private plane arrived at Country M which was the destination of their trip.
As so many years passed, the locals had mostly forgotten about the existence of the Xie family. They only vaguely knew that in the easternmost part of the city, there was a grand manor that had been abandoned for many years
On the way to the manor, Zhai Yunsheng noticed something wrong with the road.
He asked everyone to stop before he got out of the car to check.
After a glance, Jian Yiling also noticed the problem.
From the traces on the road, the road to the manor was rarely traveled. However, a large number of cars passed by recently and left several new tire marks on the road.
And after briefly analyzing the tire marks, Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling could infer that the tire marks were a lot deeper than the ones which didn’t carry people or heavy items.
