Chapter 538: Don’t Leave Me Alone, I’m Scared!
That shadowy figure has reached Mrs. Yue. Yan Qingsi could only watch helplessly as the cold gleam of the knife disappeared in an instant.
Yan Qingsi’s pupil dilated. All sounds seemed to be distant, and the actions of people around her slowed down.
She heard Yue Tingfeng shouting: “Ma…”

Yue Tingfeng’s arms and legs were cold. He held onto Mrs. Yue’s hand, trembling. He tried very hard to smile, but it did not come. He said: “Ma…don’t panic, don’t panic. Everything is going to be okay. It’s just a little blood, it’s okay, it’s okay…”
Mrs. Yue was in so much pain that she could not speak. She took the chance while she was still conscious to look over and see how Yan Qingsi was holding up.

Yan Qingsi wanted to say: “Mother, don’t die, don’t leave me alone. I’m scared…”
She opened her mouth, but her voice failed her. Her throat felt as though someone pinched her throat shut, an uncomfortable blockage, with the feeling of suffocation getting stronger…
Yue Tingfeng observed that Yan Qingsi’s face was losing color, with some faint rotting green color mixed with her ashen face. Her body was trembling nonstop. He gritted his teeth and shouted: “Yan Qingsi, wake up…Yan Qingsi, my Ma wants to see you, get over here.”
Yue Tingfeng’s voice broke Yan Qingsi’s trance. She shivered, bent over gasping for air, then slowly stood up with a hand on her chest.
Yan Qingsi wanted to have a look at Mrs. Yue, but she was afraid. She was nervous…scared of looking at Mrs. Yue.
Yan Qingsi turned around to look at the assailant that was pinned to the ground, her gaze calmed down slowly while her face started to show a killing intent that grew stronger by the second.
Yan Qingsi silently walked over and pushed aside the person holding down the assailant. She grabbed the assailant by the messy hair and finally got to see the assailant’s face: “It’s you…”
Yan Qingsi did not expect it to be Yan Mingzhu. She somehow managed to escape from the asylum. How did she escape?
Yan Mingzhu looked as though she was really crazy. She was laughing stupidly while continuously muttering: “Yan Qingsi is dead, dead…I killed her…I finally killed her…”
