The smile on my face faded.

I can take his life any time I wish. And that Jing Ni, I hear she is your friend too. Their two lives are not enough to bend you to my will?”

“Madam, did you use your own people to investigate me and my uncle, or someone just fed you the news?”
She didn’t speak but her eyes hesitated.
