Qi Changfeng smiled resignedly.
He was unwilling to lose Mo Yichen, his friend. After all, their relationship had lasted for many years.
Thus, he said to Mo Yichen, “Don’t worry. As long as you treat Gu Yan well, I won’t bother you.”
Mo Yichen replied peremptorily, “That’s good. I believe you.”
They smiled as if they were gossiping. Their attitudes reassured Gu Yan. She thought, “It is fine that I don’t affect their relationship.”
Then Qi Changfeng left with an excuse. There were only Mo Yichen and Gu Yan in the dessert shop.
Gu Yan patted Mo Yichen, saying unhappily, “Why were you so impolite just now?”
Mo Yichen hugged Gu Yan and said, “It is because I do care about you. I’m afraid that you would love others.”
Although Gu Yan was unhappy with Mo Yichen’s impoliteness, she felt happy when hearing Mo Yichen’s words. She said, “You are really a fool. I only love you, in the past, now, and forever.”
Mo Yichen suddenly felt so happy, and then he hugged Gu Yan tightly.
Gu Yan felt that Mo Yichen was too lovey-dovey today, which made her very shy, especially in front of so many people. She blushed.
She hurriedly pushed Mo Yichen away, and said nonchalantly, “Hurry up. We should finish the cleaning.” Then she ran into the shop quickly.
Mo Yichen felt that Gu Yan was so cute. He thought, “Is she shy?”
Mo Yichen smiled and followed Gu Yan into the shop. He quickly helped Gu Yan to tidy up the tables and chairs.
Gu Yan was moved when she saw that Mo Yichen was busy in cleaning the shop. Seeing that Mo Yichen gave up his pride and scarified a lot for her, Gu Yan felt that she could do anything for him. If she still had no feeling, she would hurt Mo Yichen.
After cleaning up, Gu Yan and Mo Yichen walked out of the dessert shop. They walked on the road, holding hands. It was a long time that they didn’t walked together lightheartedly.
Then they went to dinner. Gu Yan remembered the time when they had dinner with Mo Xiangyan.
She missed Mo Xiangyan very much, so she asked Mo Yichen, “How is Xiangyan now? Has he grown taller? Has he been well-behaved?” She asked many questions.
Mo Yichen pretended to be jealous and turned his head to one side. He said angrily, “You only care about Xiangyan but ignore me.”
Gu Yan was amused and said, “Do you envy your son? I do care about you too, but I miss Xiangyan because I can’t see him now.”
Mo Yichen blinked and said, “Oh, you miss Xiangyan.”
Gu Yan said vexedly, “Tell me. Hurry up.” She took Mo Yichen’s arm, hoping to know Xiangyan’s current situation.
“Okay, I just joke with you. Xiangyan has grown tall now and is about to go to the elementary school. He misses you every day and keeps asking me when you will go back. I promised him on his last birthday that I would bring you back, but it hasn’t come true until now. When will you go home with me?” Mo Yichen leaned close to Gu Yan and stared at her eyes.
Gu Yan was sad because she also missed Mo Xiangyan very much. Mo Xiangyan hadn’t seen her for so long, but he still remembered her.
Gu Yan rubbed her chin and thought for a while, “I can’t take a break from work now. We should wait for some time.”
Mo Yichen replied, “Okay. It depends on you. Xiangyan will come back soon, and then you can see him.”
Gu Yan nodded happily. She loved Mo Xiangyan as if he was her child. She always felt that there was something connecting Mo Xiangyan and her. It might be destiny.
Gu Yan thought that she might hurt Mo Xiangyan when she left, so he might hate her now. However, he still hoped her to come back, which made her very moved. Gu Yan almost cried.
If Xiangyan was here now, she would hug him tightly. She missed Xiangyan very much. She hadn’t seen him for so long.
After eating, Mo Yichen and Gu Yan took a walk in the street. Mo Yichen suddenly asked Gu Yan, “Why have you been so indifferent to me some time ago?” He was curious.
Gu Yan lowered her head. It was her biggest worry. She said, “Both of us will be hurt if we stay together. Your mother is opposed to our love. I’m unwilling to see that you are in a dilemma, so separation is the best choice.”
Mo Yichen touched Gu Yan’s head and said fondly, “Why do you have such an idea? I had promised that I would protect you. The best thing for me is that we stay together. As long as I love you, you needn’t be afraid of the opposition from others. We can overcome all difficulties because we love each other.”
These words moved Gu Yan very much. She suddenly had great confidence in their relationship. For so long, she had suffered a lot. She pretended to dislike Mo Yichen but was agonized when Mo Yichen left her. She felt sorry for her previous practice.
She didn’t expect that her indifference hurt Mo Yichen more.
They walked to Gu Yan’s house. Then Mo Yichen said, “Please come back. Goodbye.”
However, Gu Yan invited him to her home. Mo Yichen didn’t expect it totally. He pinched himself secretly to make sure that he was not in the dream. He also tried to hide his action.
Gu Yan saw it and suddenly laughed. She said, “It’s true. Fool. You are not in the dream.” She thought Mo Yichen was so cute.
“I just confirmed it. If you didn’t invite me, I would be embarrassed. You may kick me out.” Mo Yichen was so happy now, but he forbore from showing his excitement.
Today Gu Yan was very happy. Mo Yichen, who was indifferent to others, was as cute as a child when he stayed with her.
After returning home, Gu Yan asked Mo Yichen to sit on the sofa. She went to clean fruits for him.
