Jiang Jingcheng saw that Assistant Liu was about to leave, but he still had no ideas or plans, thus he became more anxious.
Women liked to bear grudges. There would be more misunderstandings if he didn’t make it clear. He didn’t know what she would do in rage.
Never hurt a woman. She would either forget you or revenge you madly.
Jiang Jingcheng searched the Internet for answers to how to soothe an angry girlfriend and make her happy.
“If a girl gets angry, you should choose the way you are best at to make her happy.” The answer said. “What? The way I’m best at? I don’t have that stuff. I only have my good looking.” He thought.
“A hug and a kiss.” He imagined but couldn’t do it. How could he kiss a woman he didn’t love? He was unwilling to compromise. Besides, Assistant Liu might not accept it and would slap his face.
“Apologize, sweet talk, and never complain.” Jiang Jingcheng agreed on this one. It was not difficult to him. However, he didn’t know how effective it would be.
She already packed up, carried her bag and was about to leave. She was as cold as marble and seemed to tell others to stay away from her.
“Assistant Liu, I have something to tell you. Please don’t leave.” Jiang Jingcheng shouted. Tears were in his eyes. He stared at Assistant Liu who didn’t even look back.
However, she didn’t stop, just opened the door and left.
Jiang Jingcheng hesitated. Whether should he go after her or not? He slammed the glass to the ground to vent his anger. The glass was broken to pieces. Hot water spilled all over the floor, steaming. He stood in front of his chair, feeling lost.
“Chen Qian, I’m sorry. I really can’t help you. Will you look down on me or ignore me if I fail? I really did everything for you even flatter other women. Do you know I am heartbroken?” Jiang Jingcheng thought.
He squatted down, buried his head deep in his arms, and sobbed in a low voice…
“What happened, Jiang Jingcheng? Assistant Liu rushed to Jiang Jingcheng in just a few seconds. She was worried when she saw the debris all over the ground.
“Do you get scalded? Are you OK?” She asked.
Assistant Liu kicked the debris away from him and looked at him worriedly. She was checking him for any injury.
Jiang Jingcheng was surprised and confused. When she turned around, he wetted his left arm, covered his left arm with the right hand, and pretended to be painful.
“We go to the hospital, ok?” Assistant Liu held Jiang Jingcheng who was kneeling on the ground. He raised his head slightly. His eyes were red, tears on his face. Her heart felt a sting seeing his face.
“Why are you back? Just go.” Jiang Jingcheng shook off her hands and turned around.
“How can I leave now? Let me check your wound. If it’s serious, we should go to the hospital quickly.” Assistant Liu regretted what she had done. She thought she shouldn’t have left. She just couldn’t control herself at that time.
She was almost worried to tears. She grabbed his sleeves and pulled him close to herself. She fawned on him, hoping cheer him up.
“Are you still angry? It was my fault. My ex-girlfriend called me just now. She said that she got a new boyfriend. I’m unhappy so I treated you like that.” Jiang Jingcheng explained to her.
“But I feel heartbroken when you left. It seems that…” Jiang Jingcheng said.
“What?” She asked.
“It seems that I kinda like you.” He looked at her with affection.
“I don’t know when I begin to like you. I don’t want you to talk to other men. I don’t want to see you unhappy. I don’t know how to get your attention. I pretend to be indifferent to you cause I want to grab your attention.” Jiang Jingcheng said.
“I want to be good to you and bring you everything. But I always hurt you since I’m not good at talking. I’m so so sorry.” Jiang Jingcheng said.
Assistant Liu blushed with this unexpected confession. She never thought he liked her as much as she did.
“Assistant Liu, will you be my girlfriend?”
Jiang Jingcheng knelt down on one knee and asked her with low voice and eager eyes. The reason he spoke out those words was that he took her for Chen Qian. He always wanted to say those words to Chen Qian, but no chance. At this moment, he spoke out, but still felt empty.
“Of course, I will.” Assistant Liu said yes without hesitation. She helped him up and hugged him. She leant against his chest, listened to his heartbeat, feeling happiness.
She made up her mind to give all her love to this man in the rest of her life, and help him forget his ex.
Jiang Jingcheng refreshed and realized what happened. He took Assistant Liu for Chen Qian from the moment Assistant Liu came in. Right now, Assistant Liu was smiling in his arms. He suddenly realized he was just the same as Chen Qian who would take advantage of others to reach her goal.
He hesitated, asking himself whether he should continue to help Chen Qian and lie to this innocent girl…
