Lu Xian stared at Quan Jue in a daze.
Especially when she saw the injuries on his face, she felt heartache.

Just then, the wind chime rang again.
“Xiao Xian.” A gentle male voice was heard.
Quan Jue had just placed the coffee cup to his thin lips. Before he could take a sip, he placed the cup back on the table and turned to look at the door.
A man in his thirties walked into the convenience store with a smile.
He had a refined appearance and a gentle aura. He also had a thin physique.
It was the man Quan Jue had seen in the photos.
“Hubby!” Lu Xian’s eyes lit up when she saw him.
“It’s about time you get off work, right?” Ye Yichen walked to the counter and looked at her gently. “I’ve made your favorite pork trotter soup.”
It was almost time for lunch.
Lu Xian was on the morning shift, so someone would come to take over at noon.
“It’s snowing outside, so the person taking over might be late,” Lu Xian said.
