Chi Jiao’s eyes lit up as she looked at Pei Yao and asked in disbelief, “Sister Pei Yao, what did you say? Say it again!”
Pei Yao was shocked by her surprise and said weakly, “Jiaojiao, calm down. I was just joking. What I said might not be true.”
“I know. I won’t try it without serious consideration, but this is indeed a new idea. I need to think about it carefully. Sister Pei Yao, send me home first,” Chi Jiao said.
Pei Yao nodded and sent Chi Jiao home.
20 days passed quickly.
Zhan Tingting, who had been in charge of guarding the barrier, called Chi Jiao early in the morning.
Chi Jiao answered the call and asked indifferently, “It’s me. What’s the matter?”

After Chi Jiao hung up, she thought for a moment and called Yan Zhengchen via video call.
Yan Zhengchen answered the video call. The screen showed him in the kitchen making breakfast in an apron.
Chi Jiao looked at him curiously and smiled. “Brother Yan, are you into being a stay-home husband now? I think my ‘sister-in-law’ will be very lucky.”
“You little imp, how dare you tease me? Do I need to look for a woman? Gong Lu alone is more than enough for me to deal with. Do you know how annoying he is? As long as I don’t make breakfast, he won’t eat it. He said that it’s not healthy to eat outside. Is refusing to eat breakfast healthy?” Yan Zhengchen complained as he flipped the omelet helplessly.

Gong Lu held his phone and requested, “I want a cup of coffee. No sugar, no milk.”
“Why are you drinking coffee on an empty stomach so early in the morning? I’ve prepared warm water for you. After you’re done, go and change your clothes. Have some bread and milk for breakfast later. It’s more nutritious than coffee and won’t irritate your stomach,” Yan Zhengchen said.
