888 Actually Getting Into a Fight
Cao Gang reached out his hand to Li Gui and said, “Sister, let me give you a hand. It’s cold on the ground, get up quickly.”
Li Gui did not reject Cao Gang’s good intentions. With Cao Gang’s help, she slowly stood up and did a simple stretch to see if she felt any discomfort.
Other than the fact that her clothes were a little damp from sitting on the ground, she felt fine and did not seem to have any injuries.

Li Gui still stuffed the things into Cao Gang’s hand and said, “These are just corn that I planted at home. Take it as a token of my appreciation for your help!”
“Sister, we’re still at work. How can we take things from you! Hurry up and take them back!” Cao Gang said as he tugged at the armband on his arm.
Li Gui immediately understood. There was still a crowd around. If other people witnessed the gesture, no one knew what kind of rumors would spread tomorrow. Cao Gang might even be branded as a person who took bribes.
It was better to send the gifts after Cao Gang and the others got off work. This way, she could get it done and yet not make things difficult for Cao Gang and the others.
Cao Gang seemed to be able to tell what Li Gui was thinking and quickly said, “Sister, you also can’t do it after we get off work! Why don’t you give us more the next time we come to buy from you? We like to eat the seeds you sell!”
Li Gui quickly nodded and said, “Fine, fine, fine! I’ll keep all the seeds at home aside for you! I’ll sell you at the cost price!”

After Cao Gang gave Li Gui a few pointers, he asked her to hurry home. Money was not as important as her life.
After what happened today, she would not be able to carry on with the business tonight. Li Gui’s clothes were already drenched. If she did not go back soon, she would definitely fall sick. She dragged the heavy basket and walked home.
Qiao Yu noted all of this. She did not know what kind of conflict Li Gui had with Su Yang’s family. From what she heard just now, it seemed that Su Yang and Su Liang were injured because of Li Gui, which was why these two families had formed a grudge.

For a moment, Qiao Mei did not know how to digest what Li Gui said. There was too much information. Li Gui actually got into a fight. Her previously weak mother actually got into a fight with someone!
