“Ma San, what’s wrong? Aren’t you happy that I’m back?” He Ning sat down on the sofa with Huo Gao’s help and looked at Ma San quietly.
“I… um… of course I’m happy. How can I not be happy that Little Uncle is back! Congratulations on your safe return!” Ma San was so nervous that his legs trembled like he was no longer in control of them.

He Mei did not hide the joy she felt. She knew that the Xia family had always been against them. Now that she had gotten rid of Qiao Mei, her little uncle would definitely praise her when he found out about it! When the time came, he would definitely give her anything she wanted!
“I’ll go brew some medicine for you. Are you alright by yourself?” Huo Gao asked in a soft voice.

He Ning shook his head and said, “If I can’t make it, do you think I’ll still be sitting in front of you?”
He Mei smiled awkwardly and stood at one side, not knowing what to say. Now that her little uncle was already out, then her father He Guo, should be back soon too.
“Weren’t you very happy when I entered just now? Why are you so unhappy now? Don’t you want me to come back?” He Ning asked.
