“How long has she been inside? Why isn’t there any news yet? Where’s your aunt? Where’s Xiao Fang? Isn’t she in this hospital too! Hurry up and go look for her! Go quickly!” Xu Lan grabbed Xia Zhe and wanted to go look for Xia Fang.
Xia Zhe quickly held Xu Lan’s hand and said, “Aunt is already inside and she’s already treating Qiao Mei. Mother, please sit down first.”
Xu Lan slowly sat on the chair and stared at the red light outside the operating theater. She only hoped that Qiao Mei could come out of this without any issues. It would be even better if she was able to hold on to her grandchildren.

Xu Lan sobbed softly and leaned weakly on Liu Fen’s shoulder. She still could not believe that what happened today was real.
“Why did I treat Qiao Mei so badly! I look down on her just because she’s a daughter-in-law who’s a villager! It’s really my fault. If anything happens to her, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life,” Xu Lan said sadly.
“Sister-in-law, you didn’t do it on purpose. Don’t worry, Qiao Mei will definitely be fine. Isn’t Xia Fang still inside? You have to believe in them,” Liu Fen said.
As Qiao Mei was from the countryside and she was Xia Zhe’s own choice for a wife, Xu Lan had always held a grudge against Qiao Mei for this matter. At that time, there were clearly better girls who could marry into the family, but Xia Zhe went off to get married on his own.
