555 The Cast’s Dinner
When Gu Ci heard Mo Rao’s words, he smiled gently.
“Do you think I’m afraid of this?” he asked jokingly.
Mo Rao deliberately pondered for a moment before nodding. “Yes, someone like you shouldn’t be afraid.”
After saying that, Mo Rao looked up at Gu Ci. The two of them looked at each other and smiled.
“Sister Rao Rao, it’s your turn! Director Zheng wants you to go over!” A staff member walked over and interrupted the conversation between the two of them.
When Mo Rao heard this, she looked at Gu Ci and said, “Then I’ll go film first. We’ll talk later.”
“Alright, go ahead!”
Mo Rao turned around and walked towards the set. As Gu Ci stared at Mo Rao’s back, his expression darkened.
Seeing Yu Ye walk towards Mo Rao again, Gu Ci thought for a moment and followed.
Perhaps it was because of the temptation of Gu Ci’s feast, the filming became smoother and they could basically complete every scene in one go.
The entire production team wrapped up more than an hour earlier than usual.
“Director Zheng, I’ve already booked the restaurant. Shall we go now?” Gu Ci saw that the staff had started to clean up the set, so he walked to Director Zheng’s side to ask.
The surrounding staff also pricked up their ears and listened carefully to Director Zheng’s answer.
Director Zheng glanced at the staff and scolded jokingly, “Do I usually starve you guys? Why are you guys so anxious?”
“Director Zheng, how can your lunchbox compare to a feast?”
“That’s right! Director Zheng, hurry up and answer him! We can’t wait any longer!”
“You guys can’t wait any longer?! Sister Rao Rao is still removing her makeup! You guys have to wait even if you don’t want to!”
When everyone present heard this, they all laughed and looked at Gu Ci teasingly.
Gu Ci stood beside Director Zheng. Facing everyone’s kind teasing, he wasn’t embarrassed or angry. He even smiled at everyone.
Gu Ci’s smile attracted even more teasing.
“What are you guys laughing at? You guys look so happy,” Mo Rao said calmly, and everyone looked over.
Although Mo Rao had removed her makeup and was bare-faced, she was still so gorgeous that no one could take their eyes off her.
“Sister Rao Rao, we’re talking about the meal President Gu promised to treat us to!”
Mo Rao looked at Gu Ci, who smiled and said, “We were waiting for you.”
“That’s right, Sister Rao Rao. If you hadn’t come, we wouldn’t have been able to set off!”
When Mo Rao heard this, she lowered her eyes slightly and clenched her fists before letting go.
“Then we can leave now,” Mo Rao said as she looked around. “Where’s Little Ye? Why don’t I see him?”
“That kid! He left early and said to see if he could borrow the kitchen.”
Director Zheng, who was fixing the camera, looked up when he heard Mo Rao’s question.
Gu Ci frowned and recalled that when Mo Rao was filming, Yu Ye had come to ask him about the restaurant’s location.
It seemed that Yu Ye was preparing for this moment.
“Alright, let’s go now! We can’t keep Mr. Yu waiting.”
Everyone cheered when they heard Gu Ci’s words and walked out.
When they got into the car, everyone tacitly let Mo Rao and Gu Ci stay in the same car, so they wouldn’t disturb their private space.
“I remember that your brother is supposed to be on the set too. Why haven’t I seen him?” In the car, Gu Ci asked casually.
“You don’t have to worry about my brother. He rarely leaves the hotel. He eats at the hotel too.”
Hearing Mo Rao’s words, Gu Ci nodded calmly and didn’t continue asking. He changed the topic and talked about some interesting things that happened in the company recently.
Gu Ci was very knowledgeable and charming, so even if they were in a confined space, the two of them wouldn’t feel awkward.
The restaurant Gu Ci booked wasn’t far from the set. In less than twenty minutes, the group arrived at their destination.
Everyone followed Gu Ci into the dining room. When Yu Ye saw Mo Rao beside Gu Ci, he quickly walked over and called out softly, “Sister.”
