Song Qingchun stopped at the door and subconsciously raised her leg to try and kick the door down.
Just as her foot was about to reach the door, the words that Cheng Qingchong told her earlier flashed across her mind.
This CEO Lee is an important partner for the company. He is related to some government officials. CEO Su needs his help if he wants to open up a new building in Hainan.
Indeed, this kick would satisfy her own gratification, but if it caused any offense to that CEO Lee, it would be Su Zhinian who would suffer the loss.
Song Qingchun halted her kick and slowly put her leg down. She stared at the shut door, and her pupils moved around as if she was trying to come up with a solution. She then turned around to look down the long corridor; it was empty.
She bit on her fingers before silently moving her ears to the room door.
Eldorado was a high-class establishment; even the sound insulation was top-notch. Song Qingchun had her ears to the door and held her breath. She focused on her hearing for a very long time, and her face started to flush from the ludicrousness of her action, but she still managed to hear nothing from within.
Have I not found the right spot?
Song Qingchun thought about it before moving her head to the other side of the door, but she still she heard nothing. She continued to move around the door… until her whole body was stuck to it like an octopus; however, even in that state, she heard nothing.
Song Qingchun switched a few more poses before finally giving up. The impatient girl instead started to curse Eldorado silently. She took a step back with frustration and leaned against the wall opposite the door. She bit on her finger and started studying the structure of the door.
If I can’t hear anything from the door, what about the frame?
Song Qingchun’s eyes lit up, and she rushed to glue herself back to the door without a second thought. She moved toward the edges of the door but still couldn’t hear anything from the left side nor the right side. Eventually, she tossed her image to the wind and squatted down to the floor. Finally, from the sliver at the bottom of the door, she managed to pick up the sound of music.
It sounded like people inside was singing an English song; the voice was fuzzy, and she couldn’t tell what song it was.
By now, Song Qingchun’s whole body was plastered flat against the floor. She tried to push her ear as close as she could to the sliver, until her face hurt from grinding against the floor.
She was finally rewarded with a clearer sound. Reinvigorated by this result, Song Qingchun pushed herself closer to the sliver when suddenly she heard the tinkle that meant the elevator was opening.
Someone is coming… Song Qingchun raised her head up in a hurry and saw a waiter walking out of the elevator.
What should I do?
Song Qingchun blinked, and a flash of light appeared at the bottom of her eyes. The next second, she collapsed to the floor, pretending that she had accidentally tripped and fallen. She stood up with an exaggerated grimace and walked with a limp toward the waiter.
When she passed him, the waiter nodded at her politely and even asked with concern, “Miss, are you okay?”
Song Qingchun shook her head and rubbed at her arm, pretending like she had hurt herself there before taking the corner to head into the bathroom.
Leaning against the bathroom door, Song Qingchun sighed in great relief. She waited in the bathroom for a while before pulling the door open and poking her head out.
She just so happened to see the waiter come out of Su Zhinian’s private room.
They called for room service? Meaning the waiter will have to return to their room later?
