The following day, Gu Chaoyan woke up early in the morning.
She was living in the court, and her patient was still at the imperial hospital. So someone would come to wake her up anyway, even if she did not do that herself.

Zheng Chenyi’s face had gained some color and he gazed at her as she approached.
Gu Chaoyan ignored his look and felt his pulse directly, then she nodded. “He is doing fine now, but you still need a few more days of rest and make sure you don’t move around. You are going to take the medicine I prescribe for one month, and no more martial arts practice for one year. Take a long break, please.”
The words had just been spoken, when Mrs. Duke North let out a sigh of relief. She whispered “Thank goodness” with her fingers crossed.
It was far too dangerous on the battlefield, and Mrs. Duke North had no intention of letting Zheng Chenyi fight there again. Everything would be great, as long as he was doing fine.
However, Zheng Chenyi was not happy. He felt that he was recovering well and the injury was a minor matter.
One year without martial arts? That would ruin him! He clenched his fists and asked unhappily, “What about one year later, can I still practice martial arts?”
