It was said that reunions were the sweetest among newlyweds but they had already been married for three years.
For them, two mature adults who had once been intimate, a mere look, a simple touch alone made their hearts flutter, reminding them of happier and sweeter times.
But Tang Mo’er suddenly thought back to this morning on the plane when he had said that he didn’t want to marry her again.
She twisted away. “What are you doing?”
It was fine before she tried to twist away but grinding on him just made him go even crazier. Gu Mohan pressed harder against her and buried his face in her hair. “You’re asking me what I’m doing?”
He wrapped his arms around her delicate waist and pulled her strongly into his embrace.
Tang Mo’er’s legs went weak.
Behind her, Gu Mohan was about to explode. He blinked a few times and his eyes turned bloodshot.
He hadn’t touched her in such a long time.
He couldn’t take it anymore.
Tang Mo’er twisted her face away to avoid his kiss and said, “Gu Mohan, you want to hook-up with me?”
Gu Mohan buried his face in her soft neck, kissing her hair. “What?”
“You don’t want to marry me but tricked me into your room, wanting to sleep with me. If this is not a hook-up then what is?”
In response, Gu Mohan pressed down heavily on her and with a scream from Tang Mo’er, the two of them collapsing onto the soft bed.
“Go away!” Tang Mo’er wanted to get up.
But Gu Mohan pressed onto her, not letting her move. “Tang Mo’er, do you know why I don’t want to marry you? It’s because I’m scared of you.
“I don’t know if you’ll end up leaving me again after I give all of my heart and body to you. I don’t know if you’ll lie to me or hide things from me again. You did all of this for your brother three years ago. Will you throw me away so cruelly again for another loved one next time?
“Tang Mo’er, it’s been three years. You’ve had so much time to return to me, or even just pass me a message to tell me that you were still alive, but you didn’t.
“Do you know much I’ve been suffering these three years? Now you return and tell me that you want to marry me, to be with me? What do you take me for? I’ve been questioning your love these past three years, wondering if you’ve ever loved me at all!”
Gu Mohan said all of this aggressively in a low voice, his bloodshot eyes glaring at her. He looked like a crazy beast who had already held it in for a long time.
He was in great pain.
Pain that he couldn’t hide from.
One that he hadn’t been able to escape.
He didn’t understand why she didn’t return to him if she had been living so well.
Did she not miss him at all?
But he had missed her.
Day after day, he had missed her so much he thought he was going to go mad.
Tears quickly welled up in Tang Mo’er’s eyes. “I’m so sorry…”
“I don’t want to hear your apologies!”
Gu Mohan lifted his eyes and willed his tears to go away as he reached out to rip her pajamas off her body. “I don’t want to hear anything. Just give me your body.”
He wanted her.
It was the only way he could confirm that she was real.
Tang Mo’er quickly caught his hand, not letting him touch her body. “Gu Mohan, don’t do this. You’re hurting me.”
Gu Mohan bent down and kissed her red lips. “Don’t struggle then and I won’t hurt you.”
“No!”
Tang Mo’er struggled, not letting him kiss her.
Gu Mohan froze as he felt her repulsion towards him. She seemed to be extremely adverse to having relations with him and was resisting him as hard as she could.
His handsome face turned dark. It felt as though someone had stabbed him in the heart and he twisted in pain.
He suddenly yelled, “You’re seeing another man?”
Tang Mo’er froze and looked at him in shock. “You… what did you say?”
The pain in Gu Mohan’s heart eased as he saw that she was hurt from this. He smiled coldly and said, “What are you worried about? We’re already divorced. I won’t blame you if you really have another man.”
With a loud smack, Tang Mo’er slapped him.
Both of them froze.
Gu Mohan’s had been slapped across his whole face. After a few seconds, he slowly turned back to face her, his aura devilish. He clenched his teeth and started ripping her clothes off her body.
Tang Mo’er’s pupils contracted as she clutched the collar of her pajamas and hit him continuously.
Gu Mohan didn’t stop her. He was only interested in getting her clothes off and his body was soon covered in scratches.
When he lifted the hem of her shirt, he noticed a scar going right across her flat abdomen.
It was a caesarian section scar.
The horizontal scar was etched deeply on her flawless and beautiful abdomen.
It was obviously from the birth of her daughter. She had had a smooth delivery with her son, but had to go under the knife for her daughter.
Gu Mohan froze. It was as though a bucket of cold water had been dumped on him and he suddenly regained his senses.
The woman under him had given birth to a daughter for him.
Women had to go through immense pain and suffering whenever they gave birth, so who would willingly undergo such an experience if not for their loved ones?
Such an ugly scar has been left behind on her beautiful skin.
Gu Mohan’s heart ached. The pain started in his heart but slowly, a sort of numbness started spreading from his four limbs.
He was at a loss for words. After a whole two minutes, he finally spoke up. “Mo’er, I’m sorry…”
Tang Mo’er pushed him away and ran off.
…
Mo’er collected herself and returned to the east room. Her daughter was a bright little thing, and she was afraid that she could see through her emotions.
Luckily, Little Gu Sihan lay on the bed, fast asleep and having a great dream.
Tang Mo’er covered her with the blanket and sat in front of the dressing table. She lifted her hands slowly to unbutton her pajama top.
Her fair skin was exposed slowly.
But her smooth fair skin was marred by areas of wrinkles, like aged skin. It looked extremely jarring and ugly.
But she had been faced with an even uglier side of herself these three years. Her face had been lined with wrinkles with folds all over her body as well. She looked like an old hag.
Tang Mo’er stood up and walked into the toilet. On the washstand of the shower was the vibrant Manjusaka.
No one knew that the real Manjusaka actually grew on this island.
Plucking the petals off the manjusaka one by one, she threw them into the bath before taking off her clothes and entering the water.
After half an hour, she got up and walked over to the mirror.
The folds over her fair skin had all vanished and her skin was as smooth as a baby’s once again. She was as white as tofu and her soft face was slightly flushed, making her look like a young charming lady.
Today marked the last of her treatment. At long last, the AR in her body had been completely neutralized.
She could return to the Capital now!
Tang Mo’er wiped the water off her body and returned to her room to hug little Gu Sihan to sleep.
As for Gu Mohan, he belonged to her.
…
The next morning.
Gu Mohan opened his eyes slowly and his gaze darkened. He had dirtied the sheets.
