“Why are you smiling? You are the same.” Ning Jiahui said looking at her husband, Lu Jinhai who was smiling at his father.
“Cough!”
Lu Jinhai looked at his father and both realized they just lost their face in front of everyone. Elder Lu gave looked at his son as if asking, ‘Why do things end up in getting back at us?’
‘Because our women are cruel.’ Lu Jinhai said in his mind that his father understood.

In Jiang residence…
When Jiang Yang returned from Xi residence, he didn’t go to Ming Mansion and went to Jiang residence. He couldn’t sleep for a single moment thinking about Nixxxie and her step-brother Xi Cheng.
The next morning, he called Lu Feng and asked him to meet him. Lu Feng left the home before breakfast as he was sure there must be something as Jiang Yang called him. Lu Feng reached Jiang residence and Jiang Yang was waiting for him desperately.
“What happened?” Lu Feng asked the moment he saw Jiang Yang.
“Have a seat, first,” Jiang Yang said, signaling him to sit on the sofa.
Sitting on the sofa, Lu Feng asked, “Now tell me.”
Lu Feng knew Jiang Yang went to drop Nixxxie her home, and as he was in Jiang residence instead of the Ming Mansion so it was enough for him to understand there was something serious.
“I want Nixxxie to move out of her home,” Jiang Yang said straightaway.
These words startled Lu Feng, but he calmly asked, “And why so?”
“She is not safe there,” Jiang Yang replied.
“Is it because of Xi Cheng?” Lu Feng asked.
Jiang Yang nodded. “Hmm! She is not safe when he is there.”
“Don’t worry. He won’t dare to harm her as he did with Xi Guo. This time things are different and do you think aunt Song Meilin will keep her daughter there if she was in danger.” Lu Feng tried to assure his friend.
“It’s a different type of danger. Xi Cheng’s intentions towards Nixxxie are not good. I told you this last time too. At that time I was not sure but this time I am sure about it.”
Lu Feng understood what Jiang Yang meant. “You mean to say…..”
Leaning back on the sofa with his eyes closed, Jiang Yang said, “Yes! And I am worried something bad might happen to her.” Jiang Yang looked worried and disturbed with so many thoughts going through his mind.
Lu Feng could understand him and he felt worried about Nixxxie too if what Jiang Yang said was the reality. “I see but It would be difficult to say it to her mother and it would be hard for her to believe it. We can’t ignore the fact that they are blood-related.”
“I know it would be hard to believe but I can’t be wrong about it again. I saw how he talks to her and how he looks at her and also how terrified Nixxxie feels. This time she tried hard to hide it from me but I could sense that fear in her.”
“Have you thought about anything?” Lu Feng asked.
“No, that’s why I called you here.” Opening his eyes to look at Jiang Yang he asked, “How about I keep her here with me?”
“Not that easy. Aunt Song Meilin gave you permission for so many things but don’t check her limit,” Lu Feng said.
“I know but I can’t keep her there for long.”
“Let me think about a way,” Lu Feng said.
“Make it fast.”
Nodding, Lu Feng said, “Seems like you didn’t sleep at all.”
“How can I?”
“Don’t worry about her. Seems like you didn’t eat anything yet. Let’s have breakfast first.” As Lu Feng was about to make an order for home delivery, Jiang Yang said, “I thought darling will cook for me.”
Hearing it, Lu Feng looked at him and gave out a deep sigh. “I wonder how can a person change so fast from a serious to a shameless one again?”
“Isn’t it the best thing about me, darling?” Jiang Yang asked, sitting straight onto the sofa and smiling.
Lu Feng knew he was trying to cover his worry and acting again so instead of getting annoyed, Lu Feng asked, “What would you like to eat?”
“Whatever darling will cook for me,” Jiang Yang replied.
“Wait for me.” Saying Lu Feng went to the kitchen.
As Lu Feng had been in Jiang residence so many times before with Jiang Yang and spent time here, he was familiar with the kitchen too. Though he never cooked there, he saw Jiang Yang cooking and observed the place.
In a half-hour, Lu Feng returned with the tray in his hands. Jiang Yang could smell a nice aroma but didn’t go to the kitchen. Lu Feng arranged breakfast on the dining table and asked Jiang Yang to come there.
“There was nothing much in the kitchen so I could only cook this much with what was available there,” Lu Feng said as Jiang Yang went to the dining table.
Lu Feng prepared Pancakes and along with it, there was orange juice, few vegetables, and boiled eggs.
Seeing the things on the dining table, a smile painted on Jiang Yang’s lips. “Ohh! Pancakes, not bad. I was just joking, and you really cooked for me. I didn’t know you can do it, too. My darling is multi-talented.”
“Don’t be so surprised. Sit down and eat. This is the first and the last time. I am doing it for you,” Lu Feng said, placing one dish with a pancake in front of him.
“Do I have to be sad and worried again for you to cook for me again?” Jiang Yang asked, looking at the cold faced Lu Feng.
“Even if you fall sick, I won’t be doing it again,” Lu Feng said.
“Darling is so cruel,” Jiang Yang mumbled to himself and Lu Feng ignored him as usual, but he felt relieved that Jiang Yang was at least smiling and a light smile painted on his lips too.
