Xue Yuming had wept until all of her make-up was smudged as she laid on the ground, unwilling to get up. She casted a glare directly at Huo Zhenning.
“If I were to die during childbirth, you’re willing to let that happen?”
“How could that happen? The Huo’s are not that incapable that we cannot care for a single person alright? Mother was forty plus years old when she gave birth to A Chen, and she came out fine no? You don’t have to find any more excuses for your selfishness! It was I who was blind, that I got fooled by you for so long!”
Huo Zhenning’s face was red with anger. Veins popped out of his face.
It was probably what had recently happened to the Huos that he had pent up so much, and now that the dam was breached, he unleashed literally everything.
“Mum, get up first.”
Lu Zhaoyang tried to pull her up, but the latter did not want to budge, as she was totally in despair.
“Yangyang, Mum had done you wrong, and hurt you, do you hate me?” She titled her head side wards as she sobbed at Lu Zhaoyang, “No matter what, you’re my daughter I bore ten months, I only have you left…”
“I don’t hate you, you’re my mother.”
That rather calm sentence, totally betrayed the turmoil in Lu Zhaoyang’s heart.
All things considered, this blood relation was the only thing maintaining her last shred of goodwill.
So it was true that mum had joined in on this, to protect her position and get on the Madam’s good side, she had framed her own daughter.
If it was the past, she would not have believed her mother to be such a conniving person.
Her mother, had totally changed without her noticing.
“But Huo Yunting won’t just let me be! Yangyang…” Xue Yuming held her hands tightly, “I only have a daughter in you, Yangyang, you have to save me!”
She did not want to die!
Lu Zhaoyang pondered for a bit before nodding, “Get up first, he—most likely does not want you dead.”
Xue Yuming was held up and rose shakily. And as she sat on the sofa, Huo Zhenning was glaring at her.
Her heart sank!
Even her own husband no longer trusted her!
Huo Yunting simply just observed coldly. It was all just sideshows to him.

“You want me to let her go?”

“We’ll leave first. We’ll come back for the wedding.”
