“Mr. President…” the scene of a woman, wet from head to toe, riding on top of Huo Yunting, appeared before her. Lu Zhaoyang recognized the woman’s face; it was Huo Yunting’s girlfriend, Ming Yue. For a second, Lu Zhaoyang did not know how to react. Not wanting to disturb the two of them, she quickly closed back the door. But she still stood outside, unable to move or breathe.
“Lu Zhaoyang, where are you going?” Seeing her leaving without even looking back, Huo Yunting pushed Ming Yue away. The cold shoulder for the past few days aside, Lu Zhaoyang did not even utter a word even when she saw this. Huo Yunting rushed out to chase after her, determining to ask her why she was avoiding him.
Ming Yue stumbled back a few steps before regaining her balance. Her chest heaved with emotion watching Huo Yunting dumping her for another woman. Unwilling to concede defeat, she stepped out but only to see Huo Yunting grabbing Lu Zhaoyang back in.
“Don’t touch me! Let me go!” Lu Zhaoyang tried to fling Huo Yunting’s hand away but she still could not move her feet a bit.
“I will let you go after I’ve proved my innocence.” Huo Yunting stared into her eyes. “You don’t trust me?”
