“We’re going to China.”
“I see.”
Giwon didn’t seem to be surprised. It wasn’t what he expected, but if Dohyuk chose to go there, it was easy to guess why.
“You’re going to see the Swordmaster, right?”
One of the Phenomenal Nine. She was the one who was the closest to Dohyuk from the current location.
“If you meet her… what will you do?”
“It will depend on the situation,” Dohyuk answered. He had already experienced it once with Bill.
“She might have become like Bill, or maybe she’s still fighting out. Or… she might’ve died a long time ago.”
There was the possibility that she was still alive and however small the chances might be, Dohyuk still had to go after her.
“I don’t want to experience what happened to Bill again. It’s not only the Swordmaster. If I don’t get to the other seven people soon, the chance of the same thing happening will just grow bigger.”
Dohyuk spoke as he clenched his feet. Even if all of them had turned and Dohyuk had to face them as enemies… then it was better to face them earlier than later.
“When he turned, Bill said he got his old memories back.”
“Yes. I heard what you said before,” Giwon said grimly. He too knew what that meant.
What if Dohyuk had the memory of his past life now? It meant that Dohyuk could stand on top of everyone, on top of the world again. So, if those seven people got their memory back even after they were corrupt, it was going to be a hard fight.
“…”
Giwon then remembered the metals that were under the sea. Bill had put them below the sea when he fought against Dohyuk. There were so many that it took Giwon and all of the Bermurans some time to dig it all out.
They weren’t sure what Bill was going to use those metals for, but if Dohyuk didn’t fight Bill at the time and Bill used it all to increase his power, the result of the fight might’ve been different.
“Okay.”
Dohyuk clapped his hands and Giwon came back from his thoughts.
“Tell the people to finish eating lunch. It might feel nauseating if the entire island moves. We will depart two hours after lunch.”
Giwon announced it and the last lunch on the island was distributed to the people.
“Mayor! Let’s eat together!”
People waved at Dohyuk, but Dohyuk smiled and shook his head.
“I don’t feel like eating. I will eat later.”
Dohyuk then arrived at his room. It was a small room in the building. It was a place where he could take short breaks from his busy schedule. After he entered the room, he vomited blood from his mouth.
“Ugh…”
It was the damage he acquired from the trip an hour ago. He didn’t need to retain this damage; there was an influx of equipment in the storage that he could use to heal himself.
But he didn’t do it. Dohyuk cleaned the blood off of his mouth and sat down on the bed to calm himself down.
[Mind of an old man(Lv.11)]
[Healing Meditation(Lv.16)]
Those were Dohyuk’s ‘talents’. It was the result of digesting countless of items. [Mind of an old man] allowed him to keep a calm and clear mind even while experiencing an intense fight or pain. [Healing Meditation] allowed him to heal if he was in complete relaxation.
These talents weren’t effective unless it was high enough in level and were considered useless as it was a waste to have equipment or items with these talents in place of other, more valuable options.
All in all, Dohyuk didn’t need to do this.
From his ‘Flavor of Iron’, Dohyuk was able to acquire various talents and stack them to increase their levels. Even now, he was being healed by mainly these two talents, but also by other useless talents that Dohyuk didn’t even care about.
When he opened his eyes, his bone fractures had healed, along with all his organs and internal bleeding.
“W-what?”
Dohyuk then smelled the foul stench that seeped out of his body and he pinched his nose.
“Ugh, what’s up with this smell?”
He didn’t realize that it was his smell and opened the window. He then cleaned the blood on the floor.
He then opened a drawer and took out a piece of black paper. He ripped it and-
He was in another world.
“…What a rude customer.”
“Am I?”
Dohyuk looked at the owner of the world who was just about to start eating.
Emmanoel Kruger–Mukasa.
“Wasn’t it you who said I could come anytime?”
“I did.”
She nodded and pointed to the table in front.
“As you can see, I am in the middle of my meal. If you are okay with it, I wish you can wait until then. Or you can join me in my meal…”
“With pleasure.”
Before she could finish, Dohyuk sat down at the table and picked up a big piece of meat and took a bite.
“…You don’t seem as careful as before now, eh?”
“Well, there’s no need for that now, right?” Dohyuk also needed to eat lunch. “But if you want it to be like how it was before, I can do that again.”
“You don’t seem like you’re going to stop eating either way.”
“I won’t.”
Emma smiled at his words and scanned Dohyuk’s body slowly.
“It’s not only the attitude that’s changed. You’ve become strong… it’s almost like you’ve got a new body.”
“Is there anything to drink?”
Emma pointed at the corner of the table, toward a cup and a pot. Dohyuk poured the liquid into the cup and drank, and then poured another.
“But really was unexpected when you sent Marie with the wing of a four-winged angel three days ago. That’s an extremely rare item. It’s rare to see even one of them throughout the entire illumination process.”
“…It’s not like they are that strong though.”
“They aren’t. Yes.”
Emma agreed. It was a bit hard, but Dohyuk did achieve victory. To Emmanoel, they would not be as powerful and there should’ve been a lot of strong men who could’ve won against those angels in the past.
But…
“It’s not like you can just rip the wings off. You know it yourself. Whoever it is, the angel that you took the wing from, they’re still alive. And even when he knows that his wing has been ripped off, he’s keeping his wing from sprouting back.”
“Do you want to know how I got my hands on that?”
“No, I’m just mentioning how exceptional it is to pull that off. Anyway, the processing of the wing is done, thanks to your effort in collecting other materials. So if you pay… you can always take it back.”
Of course, that wasn’t the only reason for Dohyuk visit. If it was to receive the equipment made from the wing, he could’ve just called Marie.
There was a promise they had made between them before.
“You found it, didn’t you? Relic.”
“…”
Dohyuk didn’t answer as his mouth was full of food. Dohyuk then reached into his pocket and took out a small pouch and threw it toward Emma.
“Oh? Is it for me?”
“No,” Dohyuk said in the negative. He didn’t want to give it to her honestly…
“I looked at it for two days, but I’m not sure what it does.”
“Hmm.”
“I want you to take a look.”
Marie opened the pouch and Dohyuk saw her eyes widening in shock.
