Even though Professor Yue was lacking in terms of cunningness when compared to Professor Gu and Professor Tang, he was firm and resolute.
He was a man who didn’t take a long time to consider what he should or should not do.
That was his way of mitigating his weakness.
It was because of his traits that he was able to invite Tan Mo into his research club after Professor Gu and Professor Tang.
Fortunately, Professor Yue had no idea how Tan Mo was complimenting him inside her head.
If he knew, he would’ve only gotten more depressed.
Just as how Tan Mo had described Professor Yue, he immediately went to the president’s office after he messaged Tan Mo.
On his way to the office, he gave Mr. Zhu a call.
“Zhu? Go pack right away! You’re heading to Jiaoyuan City this afternoon to meet up with the recruitment team there!” Professor Yue ordered as soon as the call got through, not even giving Mr. Zhu a chance to say hello.
“What?” Mr. Zhu was shocked. “Why so sudden? Didn’t the team leave already?”
“Yes, but I made a huge mistake!” Professor Yue exclaimed as he hurried to the office. “Not only did Professor Gu and Professor Tang send their students to Jiaoyuan City, but they also sent their lecturers! Since we only have a handful of students in our major, I didn’t send any of them there. How could I forget that we can send lecturers too? You won’t be able to catch up with the team now, but you can still make it there around the evening. Hurry up and go pack! I’m on my way to adding your name to the team. I’ll make sure the university reimburses your expenses!”
Mr. Zhu was utterly speechless as he was about to head out on a movie date with his girlfriend. It seemed to him that he had no choice but to beg for his girlfriend’s forgiveness.
“Alright…” Mr. Zhu sighed. After hanging up the call with Professor Yue, he immediately called his girlfriend and apologized while packing his stuff.
On the other side, Professor Yue soon arrived at President Mu’s office.
“You mean right now?” President Mu, a man who had seen a lot of stuff in his life, asked after hearing the professor’s request.
“Yeah, right now!” Professor Yue exclaimed. “Didn’t the name list come out like weeks ago? Why didn’t you tell me that Tang and Gu sent their lecturers alongside their students as well? You should’ve told me so I could send my lecturer too!”
“But… I didn’t know you were interested in the prospect from Jiaoyuan City,” President Mu replied. “I thought there weren’t any who caught your attention.”
“What gave you that impression? It’s just because I don’t have enough students to help me. Heck! Tan Mo is way more reliable than you, for sure! I should really thank her for noticing that!”
President Mu was already on the verge of crying.
‘Fine… Fine… You guys are the treasures of this country. Do whatever you want.’
“Add Zhu into the list right away, and remember to reimburse him when he gets back,” Professor Yue said.
“Of course.” President Mu laughed. “Do you really think we would let our lecturers spend their own money? I’ll add him right away.”
Just like that, the president asked his assistant to add Mr. Zhu’s name to the team in front of the professor.
After making sure everything was done, Professor Yue was finally satisfied and left.
Back at the bus, Mr. Sun had created a group chat for the team on their way to the airport so that they could communicate with each other easily.

The plane took off at five minutes past 8 a.m.
They reached Jiaoyuan City two hours and 15 minutes later.
Even though everything was paid for by the university, the team did not spend too much money.
The hotel they had booked was a three-star motel.
Perhaps because Professor Tang and Professor Gu had notified Mr. Sun and Ms. Hu about Tan Mo’s ill-relationship with Lin Fuxi, they weren’t arranged into the same group.
In the end, Tan Mo ended up in the same room with Ms. Hu, which made the lady sigh in relief.
Tan Mo didn’t know that President Mu had personally requested the two lecturers to take extra care of Tan Mo.
Even Professor Tang and Professor Gu had requested the same thing from their lecturers.
Since Mr. Sun was a man, there was no way he would arrange for Tan Mo to stay in his room.
That was how Tan Mo ended up in Ms. Hu’s room.
If anything happened to Tan Mo, Ms. Hu would be able to react instantly.
As for Lin Fuxi, she was arranged to stay in the same room with the female student from the Department of Mathematics, Chi Xuanzi.
Everyone headed to their rooms and unpacked their stuff before taking a short rest.
Since Tan Mo had been living in the dorm for the past three years, she was used to staying in the same room with another person.
She unpacked her stuff first by placing her toothbrush, toothpaste, and other hygiene products into the bathroom.
Tan Mo then placed her makeup and skincare product on the table by her bed.
Since it was summertime, Tan Mo had only packed some light clothes. All she had to do was put them into the dresser.
The reason she emptied all her clothes from her suitcase first was so that she could put her clothes back into the suitcase after wearing them. If she did that, then she wouldn’t have to do a lot of packing when they left.
Ms. Hu was also unpacking her stuff. She couldn’t help but glance at the young lady unpacking her stuff in an orderly manner.
The lecturer was shocked to see it.
As everyone knew, Tan Mo was a lady who was pampered by her family ever since she was a child. No one would’ve expected that she could take such good care of herself too.
Ms. Hu had the same impression, and that impression only deepened when President Mu and the professors had requested her to help take good care of Tan Mo.
She thought that Tan Mo was someone who couldn’t take care of herself because of that.
However, what the lecturer saw was far different from what she had expected.
Tan Mo was just like any other girl who could take care of her own problems.
‘It looks like I won’t have to worry too much about her,’ Ms. Hu thought.
As soon as they finished unpacking their things, both of them got a notification on their phone at the same time.
Tan Mo took her phone out and realized that Mr. Sun had tagged everyone in the group chat.
“I’ve booked a restaurant for our lunch next to our hotel. Let’s gather at the lobby around noon, and we’ll talk about the itinerary for the rest of the day.”
“Tan Mo and I are done unpacking. We’ll be heading down now,” Ms. Hu replied.
The others also replied.
“Tan Mo, let’s go,” Ms. Hu said as she put her backpack on.
“Okay.”
When Tan Mo and Ms. Hu arrived in the lobby, Professor Yao, Mr. Sun, Du Zeyang, Song Mingqi, and Wei Haosong were already there.
Professor Yao had a room to himself while Mr. Sun and Du Zeyang shared the same room.
It didn’t take long for Lin Fuxi and Chi Xuanzi to come down as well.
“Looks like everyone’s here. Let’s go,” Mr. Sun announced and led the way.
The restaurant was just 600 feet away from the hotel, so they walked there.
