Despite having reached the Nirvana stage, Lu Xuan remained completely unfazed. He had too many means at his disposal, and having his own Spiritual Aether sealed didn’t mean that he was entirely powerless.
Lu Xuan still had many ways that he could go about killing people.
Deep down, he was fuming over what the members of the Jiang family did. The common folks of the Holy Sun Continent saw the Liu family as one of the clans who came from the descendants of the sacred ones.
There were many minor clans of such sacred bloodline spread all over the Holy Sun Continent. While the actual number of them remained quite small, they still existed.
In reality, exterminating the Liu family would’ve hardly been deemed an issue for most people out there.
Countless people went about calling themselves descendants of the sacred ones, after all. However, such claims were deemed utterly pointless if they hadn’t awakened their sacred bloodline yet.
However, Lu Xuan saw it differently; since his mother came from the Liu family, he was considered one of them.
It was especially so after he lost his entire family back in his past life. From then on, he walked the path leading to greatness all on his own. He had been alone back then.
As such, he yearned for kinship more than anyone could’ve imagined.
Those people were currently going out to exterminate everyone within the Liu family. While the Jiang family was not the mastermind behind it, the way the Jiang family betrayed the Liu family still thoroughly infuriated him.
After killing an elder at Divine Transformation Realm with a swing of his sword, he made another move, thrusting his sword through the head of yet another elder of the Jiang Clan.
His sword aura burst, blowing the head of that elder up into pieces.
He moved at frightening speeds. His attacks grew increasingly furious, not stopping for even a second.
“It’s just terrifying how powerful a single person could get.”
Some people from the clan were baffled by what they saw, looking as if they had just seen a ghost. What Lu Xuan demonstrated had refreshed the definition of the very pinnacle of personal power in their minds.
It was especially so given that in the Holy Sun Continent, the greater clans and sects were held in higher regard not just because they had plenty of formidable ones around. These forces also had too many means at their disposal.
Regardless of how powerful a single lone cultivator could get, it would’ve still been very difficult for them to match the overall powers that a sect or a clan commanded.
If one lone cultivator got on the bad side of those sects and clans, it would’ve usually caused the sects and clans to retaliate in full.
That was precisely why lone cultivators were never highly regarded in the Holy Sun Continent.
However, Lu Xuan’s appearance had broken the convention.
When facing off against lesser clans like the Jiang family, which was still quite formidable despite their size, any average lone cultivator would’ve still seen him as a titan would still be regarded as a titan by any average lone cultivator out there.
Even then, the clan actually looked like it was about to collapse before Lu Xuan.
Everyone went all out to kill their targets.
After things had gone this far, there was utterly no room for reconciliation between both parties. Because Lu Xuan had killed so many elders and formidable fighters from the Jiang family, they would never just let both him and Liu Haotian go easy. All of them were burning with rage and vengeance, going all out to kill Lu Xuan no matter what it cost.
Meanwhile, another group of fighters were surrounding and attacking Liu Haotian. To be more precise, they were attacking Liu Haotian as he was encased within the Chaos Heaven Stabilizer Bell.
Liu Haotian’s eyes were filled with tears as he saw Lu Xuan going all out to kill whoever stood in his way. He remembered how his family, along with Aunt Liu and Uncle Zhang, were slaughtered mercilessly.
Lu Xuan had no intentions whatsoever to raise Liu Haotian in a sheltered manner. The very reason he brought the boy out was to let him see with his own eyes just how brutal the world of cultivation actually was.
It was the law of the jungle reigning supreme, where the strong preyed on the weak. In the world of cultivation, such happenings would only happen more frequently.
The boy looked on and was growing deep down. The fighters from the Jiang Clan charged at him. Although he was frightened and shocked by what was happening, he quickly steadied himself.
Clang!
A massive rumbling sound rang out from the bell, emitting ripples visible to the naked eye. The space where the ripples treaded was rendered completely still.
The fighters who were charging at the bell were not even at the Divine Transformation Realm yet. Thus, they had no way of resisting such a powerful spell. All of them were quickly rendered still where they were, being utterly unable to move at all.
That spell could render them completely still and prevent them from moving.
At that moment, what happened next caught everyone by surprise. After those people were rendered completely still by the Chaos Heaven Stabilizer Bell, Liu Haotian made his move with a sword.
That sword was none other than the Dragonslayer, the sword which Lu Xuan used before giving it to Liu Haotian for self-defense. The Dragonslayer was hardly useful to Lu Xuan anymore when compared to the Geng Metal Sword he now had.
However, the blade was still a formidable weapon to the boy, especially when the sword sealed spells as powerful as the Advent of Thunder Dragon within it.
The boy was still only at the Celestial Being Realm, after all.
Normally, the boy would have been unable to even withstand attacks from even a finger from those fighters. Now, all of them were reduced to little more than meat on a chopping board.
Pfftt!
Liu Haotian went about thrusting the sword into the chests of those fighters in quick succession. Blood sprayed everywhere right away.
None of those fighters would have expected themselves to be killed by a boy like that. Ironically, this boy was supposed to be their target instead.
Instead, it was a case of the hunter becoming the hunted. The victim became the one to decide if the attacker would live or die.
Blood sprayed all over Liu Haotian. When coupled with the look on his face, the blood made him look like some young hellspawn crawling out of Hell.
While the fighters from the Jiang Clan were rendered completely still in midair, the boy went about killing them one by one.
When compared to the fiery and intense battles on Lu Xuan’s end, things looked unnervingly peculiar and harrowing for Liu Haotian.
Many of the clan’s guests noticed what was happening. They all saw how Liu Haotian went about killing those fighters from the Jiang Clan.
“The boy truly is a descendant of the sacred ones. Just look at him. His hands were still shaking at first, but now his hands couldn’t be any steadier.”
Everyone around quickly noted how Liu Haotian’s hands were shaking at the start, but the boy had gotten increasingly used to killing people over time.
Many people in the crowd recalled the first time they went about killing people. Things had never been so easy and effortless for them.
They could even completely imagine that considering what the boy had been through, his bloodline would’ve likely allowed probably to quickly become one of the fighters at the absolute pinnacle on the Holy Sun Continent.
The emergence of those from the sacred bloodline were few and far between in history. However, this generation didn’t turn out to be made of people short of being at the absolute pinnacle. That was because such a physique was just too rare and too formidable.
“I wonder what is that man is trying to make a descendant of the sacred ones into, letting the boy watch him kill and then have the boy kill on his own. This is definitely a man trying to make a dragon out of the boy instead of a good-for-nothing.”
“I’m afraid that many people out there will lose sleep over this. It was bad enough when there was hardly anyone of decent stock emerging out of the Liu Clan. When a decent one comes, the only one who emerged had awakened the sacred bloodline. Wouldn’t they be afraid of getting what’s coming to them?”
“I’m afraid many people out there are going to do something. The Holy Sun Continent will see chaos everywhere soon enough.”
