Upon closer inspection, everyone saw that the man was old. He had both a large silver beard and red clothing. While malice emanated all over this old man, nobody could see with the naked eye that he was shrouded by bloody qi. The bloody qi around him was so dense that it formed a vortex.
That old man was at the center of that vortex, serving as its master.
“I guess I found another member of the Blood Woolf Pirate who’s at the Divine Transformation Realm.”
Many people were shocked that those pirates had more than one fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm among them.
That revelation turned the tables right there and then.
It was worth noting that even among the top-notch clans in Tianhai City, only one fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm among them was in charge of things. The fact that there were two such people among the Blood Wolf Pirates was harrowing.
Everyone felt their skin crawl, upon realizing why no one could eradicate the Blood Wolf Pirates: they were more powerful than the usual top-notch clans out there.
A great ancestor of a clam recalled, “This… now I remember. I’ve seen a drawing of him when I was young. That was the previous head of the Blood Wolf Pirates!”
This great ancestor shuddered at the thought of something he had seen years ago.
He remembered seeing a drawing of the leader of the Blood Wolf Pirates when he was young. That old man looked the same as the man in the picture.
All the other great ancestors were shocked by the sudden realization that the Blood Wolf Pirates had been around for two generations.
That fact alone was enough to embarrass the greater clans.
It was worth noting that many had yet to see a second-generation heir among them.
The Xu Clan had been just as mighty when their great ancestor was still alive. After that great ancestor passed, the clan was reduced to cattle ready for slaughter.
Passing down their heritages was also the biggest annoyance for the clans.
If they couldn’t safely pass down their heritages securely, all that undertakings and wealth that they had amassed would have only been reduced to things that would help the others grow instead.
However, the Blood Wolf Pirate managed to do what they couldn’t do.
That fact was extremely ironic.
However, everyone knew that there was no chance of reconciliation between the Xu Clan and the Blood Wolf Pirate at that point. A fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm among the Blood Wolf Pirate was already killed. There was no way that they would let something like that slide without putting up a fight.
The pirates may have even taken out their frustrations on Tianhai City.
If none of them cared about what happened before, such a turn of events would’ve hurt their heads to even think of.
The leader of the Blood Wolf Pirates had been Xue Wushang, whose powers were on par with theirs at best. He was lucky that they did not just block off Xue Wushang’s way earlier.
Xue Wushang definitely would not dare to take on the entire Tianhai City at once.
On the other hand, that old man wearing blood-red clothes was obviously different. He was far more powerful and terrifying.
The aura around him was of the same source as that of Xue Wushang, yet he was far more powerful.
He was at the second tier of Divine Transformation Realm.
The previous leader of the Blood Wolf Pirates was at least at the second tier of Divine Transformation Realm. He had broken through the innermost secrets of the first tier of Divine Transformation Realm.
There was one major difference between clans and legendary sacred grounds that were of true major lineages; those in the latter category could safely pass down their heritage with ease.
None of them even intended to make a breakthrough into Divine Transformation Realm alone, as they had yet to completely fathom the secrets of that realm. Otherwise, they all would’ve had more than one person each at the Divine Transformation Realm by now.
Each clan had one person at Divine Transformation Realm among them. The clans also always had resources throughout the years. Otherwise, it would’ve been impossible to foster another fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm.
However, it was obvious that the previous leader of the Blood Wolf Pirates had successfully fostered an heir who was at Divine Transformation Realm.
If that were to continue, it would only be a matter of time before more members who were at the Divine Transformation Realm would emerge.
By then, the Blood Wolf Pirates would’ve most likely turned out like the Yunlong Village, which was something massive enough to threaten the cities around it.
They would’ve found it amusing if something like that were to happen; that would’ve meant that the two most powerful entities in the area consisted of outlaws.
If that old man in blood-red garb were to take them on, they would have had a hard time even if they attacked together. Everyone immediately remembered what happened.
The old man in the blood-red garb slowly said, “Come on out! In Wushang’s memory and honor, I’ll kill you and everyone else in all the Xu Clan!”
A suppressed murderous intent was seen in his eyes.
A blood-red aura raged around him, forming a massive whirlpool.
“You’re going to stay hidden then?”
That old man in blood-red attire snorted and made his move, instantly unleashing a bloody claw at the ancestral residence of the Xu Clan.
The bloody claw tore through the air as it came right above the manor, instantly tearing the defensive barrier above it.
Without someone at the Divine Transformation Realm being in charge of things, a mere barrier like that was completely useless.
The barrier was torn apart with ease; it was as if it was made of tofu.
Swoosh!
A blast of the beam of the sword shot through the night sky like a bolt of lightning, tearing everything in its path and tore that bloody claw apart in an instant.
After tearing the claw apart, the beam kept moving forward and blasted through the air without stopping. The shockwave alone killed over 1000 Blood Wolf Pirates in the process.
The pirates were getting too close to each other, enabling the beam to tear apart several of them without even bothering to hit anyone else.
That blast was traveling so quickly that it felt like a bolt of lightning tearing through the night sky. The blast instantly arrived right in front of that old man.
That old man looked serious. One hand, which he kept behind his back all the time, was brought to the front right there and then.
“Soul-crusher Blood Claw!”
He had already amplified his powers to their limits to take on that enemy of unparalleled strength that could’ve emerged at any given moment.
He was about to take on something so terrifying that they could easily kill his disciple without even having to show themselves at all. The old man was not about to let his guard down.
That attack came in the form of a massive bloody claw, tearing the blast of the sword apart in midair.
Boom!
The beam was shattered right away.
While it looked like it all happened over a long time, everything actually took place within seconds. Both parties had already thrown harrowing moves at one another.
That old man intended to demonstrate his might by fighting Lu Xuan, but he never expected Lu Xuan to easily catch him off guard with a blast of the sword.
That old man crushed that sword attack before him until he quickly realized that blood gushed from his hand. He then found a huge gash on his palm.
“I didn’t fully block it!”
The old man’s eyes were filled with utter disbelief. His claw attack was so powerful that clawing down a mountain would’ve hardly felt different from crushing tofu.
Despite that, someone out there succeeded in breaking his Soul-crusher Blood Claw with a blast of the sword.
This was completely insane!
This man, who had yet to even show his face, was insanely powerful!
He was already at a slight disadvantage before the fight between them even truly began.
He immediately siphoned his powers, allowing him to almost fully heal the wound on his hand.
