It was said that the Oracle was a lone cultivator as well; his heritage remained a mystery. He earned a massive reputation as soon as he emerged, being known for his ability to accurately predict everything.
In reality, his abilities were not as exaggerated as his reputation would’ve suggested. Nevertheless, there was no doubt that his predictive abilities were powerful.
He was able to predict everything with his calculations, so long as the price was right.
If the Oracle were to be put to work, locating Lu Xuan would most likely be rendered a piece of cake.
Ye Xuan, the grand ancestor of the Taichu Path, would’ve most likely gone after Lu Xuan right away and beat him on sight.
One patron, who supported the idea of ruling over Earth, slammed his hands on the table. He excitedly exclaimed, “Looks like Lu Xuan will have nowhere to run to this time!”
For those who intended to rule over Earth, the most terrifying thing about Lu Xuan wasn’t the fact that he was invincible. Rather, they were unable to locate him in time.
Taichu Path’s forces were all over the place, which meant that they had eyes everywhere.
Even then, they were unable to locate Lu Xuan at all.
One could imagine just how well-hidden Lu Xuan was in reality.
At that moment, what they lacked the most was time. There was still a chance for them to snuff out Lu Xuan for good, yet the probability was getting increasingly lower over time.
If Lu Xuan were able to make a breakthrough into the Divine Transformation Realm, he would become a nightmare to everyone in the Blessed Enclave. To be more precise, he would become a nightmare to anyone who wished to rule over Earth.
Everyone immediately broke out into a discussion about the matter, with most people not doubting the Oracle’s ability to locate Lu Xuan.
By then, a massive battle was likely to break out.
Many wondered if Lu Xuan would be able to escape in time.
Meanwhile, no one realized that a young man dressed in white robes sat near a window among the patrons, looking at the people going about their business in the streets.
He was enjoying his hard-earned peace.
Everyone around him, even those who could see him, instinctively ignored him. His presence was so low that he might as well have been non-existent at all.
‘The Oracle, eh?’
The young man took a sip of tea with a calm expression on his face.
That young man in white was none other than Lu Xuan.
He settled in that city as soon as he managed to escape from Ye Xuan of Taichu Path earlier.
Three days had passed since then.
The grand ancestor was able to move at extremely blinding speeds. Lu Xuan, on the other hand, practiced the most formidable of movement arts. The speed at which Ye Xuan moved was not deemed noteworthy in comparison.
Precisely put, Ye Xuan was far slower than Lu Xuan.
Even though Ye Xuan was at a higher level than him, the grand ancestor still failed to keep up with Lu Xuan. That was why the latter dared to challenge Ye Xuan in the first place.
Lu Xuan then thought, ‘Then again, I wonder why I’m not afraid of being chased by an emperor. It can’t be just because he’s slower than me.’
Lu Xuan seemed to have returned to peak condition after recuperating for three days. In reality, he had returned to peak condition after recuperating for just one day considering that he only sustained minor injuries. It was only then that his aura had been severely drained.
News spread all over the place, saying that Taichu Path had every intention of settling their scores with Lu Xuan. They were pulling out all the stops to locate him and rip him to shreds.
However, they were utterly incapable of finding Lu Xuan. They wouldn’t have noticed him even if he were to walk past any of them. Rather, they would quickly divert their attention elsewhere when they saw him.
However, he caught wind of another piece of grave news: Yan Han survived.
Even though the other man had been beaten with only an inch of his life remaining, he was still able to survive in the end. This was because of the various top-grade medicines that Taichu Path had at their disposal, which they used as if they cost nothing.
“He’s alive? In that case, that spells trouble.”
Lu Xuan put his left hand on the table, his fingers drumming the table lightly and rhythmically.
In truth, Lu Xuan deemed Ye Xuan to be utterly beneath him. Their last battle was more than enough to prove that even though he was incapable of beating the grand ancestor, he still had no problem staying alive.
Lu Xuan had no problem with at least escaping in one piece.
The only person he could focus on right now was Yan Han. Yan Han was no match for him; Lu Xuan had managed to beat down the other man easily. However, he could still feel the intense pressure that Yan Han posed to him back in his past life.
He knew that, given Yan Han’s constitution and the Taichu Path’s resources, it probably wouldn’t have taken Yan Han too long to recover. He may even reach higher heights as long as he remained alive.
A surviving menace like that would only come back to bother him in the future.
It was especially so in Yan Han’s case, for he was more than a menace; he was a living Armageddon.
Lu Xuan did not fear Yan Han himself, but rather the possibility of Yan Han harming his family in the future. Even though the chance of something so dire happening was less than one in a billion, he found it imperative to get rid of such a potential threat.
With a low voice, Lu Xuan quietly said, “If you manage to survive, I guess I’ll just have to be thorough with killing you next time.”
No one else was able to hear him.
Suddenly, he then frowned and looked up at the sky.
With his sixth sense, he felt alerted by the presence of someone trying to locate him. Such a weird, mystical feeling might’ve seemed unreliable, yet it had always been unnervingly accurate.
“This must be the work of the Oracle, huh?” Lu Xuan wore a cold grin on his face. He flashed and disappeared from his seat shortly afterward.
It took less than an hour for a terrifying silhouette to arrive at that restaurant.
At that moment, a terrifying pressure loomed all over those who were talking in that restaurant.
Their legs gave out right away, causing them to lay sprawled out on the ground. They were utterly incapable of controlling their limbs; it was as if their minds were being suppressed by a mountain.
They looked up right away, seeing an elder with silver hair and dressed in lavish robes hovering midair.
Before long, spiritual wills swept all over the restaurant to shroud even the entire city before the man in midair came to look disappointed.
With a rather sinister expression, the elder mumbled to himself, “He actually got away.”
His voice was so low that it sounded like a growl of some wounded beast.
“You’ll meet your doom next time.”
The elder flapped his sleeve and disappeared before everyone’s eyes.
It was only then that everyone was finally able to breathe easily. The pressure looming over them from before made it almost impossible for them to even breathe; they feared that doing so would’ve angered that elder while he was in midair.
They were all treated like bugs. Even the patrons who were at the Divine Treasure Realm were affected by that pressure.
As they climbed up with their legs wobbling, some people asked, “Was that Ye Xuan, the grand ancestor of the Taichu Path?”
“Yes, that is the grand ancestor. What was he doing here, by the way? It couldn’t be…” Some thought of one terrifying possibility: Lu Xuan had been in the restaurant with them some time ago.
That was why the grand ancestor showed up himself; he intended to capture Lu Xuan. There was no other possible explanation for such peculiar behavior.
Many people immediately gasped at that thought.
If that had truly been the case, it meant that they all had just returned from the gates of death, especially those who yapped about killing Lu Xuan and ruling over Earth. The patrons broke out in a cold sweat as they felt their skins crawl.
They were extremely lucky to have even remained alive.
