The blast of sword aura that measured hundreds of meters in length appeared on the surface of the ocean as it if were a skyscraper being brought down upon the huge claw.
Boom!
The huge claw clashed with that astonishing blast of sword aura in midair.
What happened next left everyone’s mouths agape. The blast of sword aura, which they previously saw to be invincible, was gradually breaking down, crumbling into specks of light and scattering before their very eyes.
“My gosh, what the hell is that claw?” many shouted immediately. Lu Xuan was so powerful that the blast of sword aura of his could have easily leveled a mountain after all.
Lu Xuan was never seen using such a fearsome attack even when taking on Ao Fan earlier.
Even so, his attack was unable to just cut down that dragon claw. To make matters worse, the attack had crumbled.
That dragon claw ignored the blast of the sword aura altogether and kept coming down. The claw was not moving as quickly as it appeared, but its overwhelming presence, which seemed to be looking down on everyone in the world, was unmistakable.
No one knew where the claw came from, but there was absolutely no doubt that it was something extremely terrifying.
Many people were even able to sense just how terrifying that aura emanating from that incoming claw was, despite looking from so far away. The pressure emanating from that claw’s presence alone made it difficult for them to even move a muscle.
Just who the hell is on the other side? Does yet another terrifying being exist on the planet?
“Let me borrow your blade.”
Lu Xuan took that bronze, curved blade from Lu Shanshan’s hand. He then proceeded to attack the terrifying dragon claw that continued to come down upon them.
Lu Xuan mobilized his Spiritual Aether without panicking, causing his Spiritual Aether to boil.
Boom!
A burst of aura that was over 10 times more terrifying than what was seen from Lu Xuan before manifested before everyone’s eyes, turning into a beam of light that shot to the heavens while everyone was still reeling from the shock and pressure from before.
Everyone present felt nearly frightened to death when they were exposed to such a terrifying aura.
It became clear that what they saw before was not yet Lu Xuan at his strongest.
The powers demonstrated by Ao Fan were already deemed unimaginable in the first place, yet he was still taken out so easily. To make matters worse, the same person who beat Ao Fan like a ragdoll was trying to show everyone through his actions that he was not even using 10 percent of his true power back in that fight.
He could have pulverized all of them with only a single finger.
That brought about a feeling of exasperation and dejection unlike any other.
Lu Xuan, under his current form, no longer bothered to hide his true extent of powers at the moment. He went on to demonstrate the full power of the first tier of the Divine Treasure Realm, which was that of the Condensing Aether Realm.
He gathered Spiritual Aether from all over his body that was 10 times as powerful as Spiritual Qi of the same volume.
Lu Xuan’s expression looked very serious and grim. He instantly recognized who that dragon claw belonged to; that being was none other than that old dragon told in legends.
It was the claw that belonged to that extremely notorious being back in Lu Xuan’s past life, a demon that Lu Xuan never got to fight back then.
Lu Xuan never expected to encounter that old dragon under such circumstances. From what he could remember, the old dragon should still be imprisoned back at the Myriad Demon Valley.
He never anticipated that the old dragon actually had such means at his disposal. Despite being imprisoned back in the Myriad Demon Valley, there was still no doubt that he was capable of doing something so frightening, saving Ao Fan despite not being physically present.
The old dragon tore through the sky and proceeded to bring about an attack from a remote location. It was something that Lu Xuan was able to pull back in his past life as well.
However, that was back when his powers had reached the level of being able to tear spatial fissures at will. It was something that was made possible only by having profound knowledge of the workings of space and having unbelievable levels of power.
That old dragon would definitely have no means of pulling off something like that on his own at the current stage of the world.
Lu Xuan then immediately realized what was going on: the old dragon was able to forcefully maintain such a fissure through the use of a teleportation formation capable of doing so. The old dragon was basically bringing about such a remote attack through the use of external powers.
While it seemed like something made possible through tricks, Lu Xuan was still impressed. It was considered a smart workaround before being able to do so completely out of one’s own power.
However, Lu Xuan instantly entered a new realm.
He melded into a single entity with the blade, becoming an extension of it. In turn, the blade was an extension of him.
It was a state where a top-notch martial artist who would have practiced the way of the saber would not necessarily be able to reach, but Lu Xuan was able to easily enter such a state. His state of being had long surpassed that of melding with the blade. The hidden secrets of many states of being were actually interconnected despite appearing vastly different from each other. It showed the difference between the state of melding one’s mind with a sword and doing so with a saber.
To people like Lu Xuan who had made it to the deepest of fundamentals of cultivation, however, he looked back and found that they all led to the same destination. While Lu Xuan had never actually practiced with the saber, he was nonetheless able to pull off something like that.
It was not that he did not know higher states of being; it was just that bringing about such states would have put a massive strain on the body. Biting more than he could chew at the moment would have only shaken his foundations, so he saw no need to go that far.
To everyone present, Lu Xuan seemed to have transformed from a person into an incredibly sharp saber that was out to cleave the heavens the second it was unsheathed.
That glittering, fierce state of being stunned everyone else who was witnessing the phenomenon.
Boom!
A terrifying blast from the blade was sensed erupting from that bronze, ancient blade before turning into a flash that sliced through the air and landed straight on that dragon claw.
Pffftt!
Unlike last time, the attack did not crumble the same way it did with the sword before. It actually managed to cut down a digit from that dragon claw on the spot.
Blood instantly sprayed from the wound in as an anguished roar was then heard from the fissure in the sky.
“How dare you, human!”
Many people saw two flaming crimson eyes from the other side of the fissure that was unbelievably terrifying and filled with demonic qi. Its gaze was frighteningly sharp, as well.
Meanwhile, yet another blast of the sword erupted from Lu Xuan’s hand as well, heading straight at that fissure in the sky. The formation that had been maintaining the fissure was shattered on the spot, followed by an immediate explosion.
That teleportation formation that had been maintaining the fissure was no longer able to stay around for long. That fissure collapsed and crumbled shortly afterward.
The terrifying being on the other side immediately retracted that claw as its spraying blood raining all over the place.
He had to retract his claw despite being reluctant to do so. He knew that if he were to wait until the fissure was completely gone, his dragon claw that remained on the other side would have been severed right away.
The pair of terrifying eyes continued to glare at Lu Xuan as the fissure continued to crumble.
“Just you wait, human. I shall tear you to pieces!”
That voice was incredibly deep and terrifying, seething with hate. It was very clear that the old dragon desperately wanted to just tear Lu Xuan to shreds while he was still alive.
Lu Xuan’s eyes remained focused and his brow twitched before commenting with a grin, “I shall wait for the day you advent!”
