Chapter 766: The Plague is out

Very quickly, the wrestling tortoises in the marshland, Zeus and Skull, each received notifications from their nightmare imprints.

Various pestilences like septicaemia and hemorrhage fever appeared. Those pestilences created loads of complications and awkwardness for Sheyan and Reef previously. Right now, the same agony befell Zeus and Skull, as they were tortured tearfully in this godforsaken land.
Everyone could clearly observe the miserable state the two tanks were in. Ultimately, they would still be able to breach in eventually, however…….it would require over six minutes to do so!
This was the situation that Zi strove to establish, after all, she needed just five minutes to return to the realm.
Meanwhile, back in the broader passageway, Judas smiled eerily at Finarsih.
“My friend, you are stronger in all aspects of space, if you choose not to act, then our agreement will regrettably end here.”
The hesitant Finarsih replied coldly with a pale complexion.
“If you are willing to part with the special Tyrannosaurus dinocrystal, then I dare to risk my ability dropping by two levels, and build another teleportation portal!”
Judas’s scrawny face twitched slightly as though it was being carved by a knife. Eventually, he stretched out his hand with a sorrowful look; as though his parents just died.
On his palm, was a shocking black glowing crystal. This crystal was obtained after hunting down a Rank 6 Tyrannosaurus Rex. Moreover, this Tyrannosaurus had mutated strongly after nuclear radiation contamination, and thus its dinocrystal was exceedingly precious as well.
He was reluctant to give away this crystal, but cursed in his heart when Finarsih quickly snatched it away.
Then, Finarsih begun chanting a weird incantation. As he chanted, bewildering characters flew out of his mouth and spiralled in mid-air around his body.
One could distinctly observe the agonizing look on Firnasih’s face. It was as though characters weren’t streaming out from his mouth but his organs instead. The characters gradually congregated to the front and mitted a black glow.
Soon after, the concrete ground started undulating as though the concrete was about to dissolve into a bowl of porridge.
A second later, six short but thick black arms erupted from the ground, and gripped each other to form a circular shape.
Those arms were distinctly robust and displayed bulging blood vessels and meridians. They were truly imitated to perfection, and could be described differently. The hands only exhibited three fingers with sharp, curly and long fingernails.
Finarsih then retrieved that mutated black Tyrannosaurus dinocrystal and placed it in the middle of those six arms.
Instantly, black energy beamed out from the dinocrystal and channeled into the six arms which formed a striking hexagram formation!
Upon receiving energy, the fingernails of those six arms grew longer and curvier. Black hair sprouted out thickly and waved around the air.
Then, a terrifying and nefarious claw begun ripping space apart. Gradually, a vortex of darkness formed in the center of the hexagram.
As the nefarious claw continued tearing, the dark vortex repeatedly expanded. Eventually, one could observe a rather normal scene – a dimmed environment.
A messy laboratory with bloodstains on the ground, and the corpses of dead research assistants.
At this moment, one of Finarsih’s main abilities directly plummeted by two levels! One could observe his face turning pale while blood oozed out his nostrils and ears.
He stumbled backwards and hit the wall before weakly announcing.
“Go through that black vortex and reach the laboratory, a hundred meters away behind Zi. However, take note, this point to point teleportation isn’t stable. After one person passes through, the next person can only be teleported 2-3 minutes later.”
Judas groaned and replied.
“Since that’s the case, we can roughly use it only twice. The first one to be teleported is the most important, being able to produce sufficient might to disrupt Zi’s concentration. Also, this individual must be able to survive, otherwise, if Zi has prepared traps in that room, this teleportation trick will be in vain.”
“Therefore, none is more qualified than me.” A sharp squeak drifted in. The crowd glanced around but failed to detect the speaker.
Instead, the unfazed Judas spoke.
“Plague, why the interest in acting?”
Plague’s voice changed into a kiddy tone.
“Oh well, someone really likes that big sister.”
Judas’s lips curled up.
“Indeed, you are the most suitable person. Your T-Virus can not only create zombies with those corpses and disrupt Zi, you can survive outstandingly yourself. If you go, nobody else would need to.”
Plague’s voice abruptly turned hoarse.
“So, should I go now?”
Judas hesitated briefly and said.
“Wait, there is still another factor.”
“Factor?” Plague inquired doubtfully.
Judas nodded.
“Don’t’ forget she isn’t alone. There is another backer with her, one that we don’t understand at all. Finarsih, can you share some information?”
Finarsih hesitated a little before speaking honestly. He too wasn’t familiar with Sheyan, only aware that he killed the Metals Professor once and was just an ordinary realm contestant. Then, he called out.
“Sable! Sable, are you familiar with that guy following Zi?”
However, no one answered Finarsih’s consecutive calls. As it turns out, Sable had left secretly.
Fortunately, a Growth-Hunter heard Sable’s story before and understood some information on Sheyan.
“That Seaman is just a normal realm contestant…..a support class and also a vice tank. He is pretty smart but it is said, he is exceedingly mysterious.”
Plague’s raspy laugh arose.
“A very mysterious contestant. Excellent, I got it. Oh just nice, if he makes the cut, I still lack a support class Licker. If he fails, then he’ll just be an ordinary zombie with spilled out guts.”
Plague heavily emphasised on the word ‘contestant’. Though she didn’t say it disdainfully, her words contained an underlying implication. Her special skill tree ability allowed her to convert creatures one realm lower than her, into Licker slaves regardless of storyline characters or contestants!
A second later, a shadow shuttled through that incredibly strange vortex portal. In a flash, that vortex narrowed and the six demon claws begun tearing space frantically once again. It seems like the teleportation port could only be re-established after a period of time.
****************************
A queer sound drifted in from behind Sheyan and Zi.
Although Zi didn’t show it, her heart tightened. She understood clearly that her back was immensely fragile! If the enemy had a method to surface behind, it would be extremely dangerous.
But at this moment, Sheyan uttered.
“Don’t worry, I got your back, unless I die.”
She smiled but replied with a unhappy tone.
“If you can’t block the rear, what use is dying?”
Procrastinating footsteps echoed in from an unknown corner behind, along with the ‘woo, woo, woo’ wails.
Moments later, a dozen or so white coat humans were dragging their feet while strolling over. Blood stained their faces and evil overcame their expressions.
Yet behind those zombies, a girl was unexpectedly floating in mid-air. Blood was oozing out from her nose and mouth as she gracefully floated up. A transparent and gloomy halo hovered above her head. Under the prompting of that halo, the zombies turned evidently faster.
Sheyan gently smiled as he observed them.
“Seems like they really can sneak up on our backs, so, they dispatched a summoner first? A zombie raising summoner? Really interesting.”
Sheyan pulled out his ‘+7 West’ and charged towards the group of zombies. An icy shimmering sharp blade sliced through space, as Sheyan directly activated ‘Horn-rage’ on the girl summoner.
Indeed, just the most common thing – capture the mastermind before the thief. Once the summoner disappears, the summoned would naturally vanish.
As Sheyan brutishly stampeded in, the zombies were knocked aside like a hot knife cutting through butter. He reached the girl and raised his saber loftily before hacking down.
Instead, at the instance he hacked down, a tiny portion of her left body inflated like a balloon and exploded.
Murky red blood mixed with ghastly white bones erupted in bits, and an awful nauseating stench was released into the atmosphere.
