After an hour:
On the individuals ranking:
First place: Mu Sang, 1080 points.
Second place: Liu Qingyun, 998 points.
Third place: Mi Yan, 810 points.
Fourth place: Taiyi Qinglian, 800 points.
Fifth place: Yan Luo, 719 points.
For the team ranking.
The Human Dao Palace was leading with 11,900 points, while the Asura Palace only had 5210 points due to their few members.
The disciples of the six palaces were still killing the demons in Purgatory.
“If Ling’er was here, it would take much less effort to deal with those demons,” Ye Mo muttered to himself.
Although he could spread his Caged Dragon Power around to search his surroundings, due to the harsh environment, Ye Mo’s range of search was quite limited.
Nevertheless, after an hour in Purgatory, Ye Mo had killed quite a number of demons himself. He had obtained 419 points so far.
“The disciples at the top have probably gotten over 3,000 points by now. If this doesn’t work, I’ll have to start stealing the tokens of others instead. But I still have to kill without stop. My only option is to advance through quantity, instead of quality. Just reaching the top seven is enough for me.”
Ye Mo’s goal was simple. He only wanted to enter the top seven, and with that, he would be rewarded 200,000 merit points. Then, he’d be able to exchange for the heart-stone of the Six Eared Ape from the Spirit Treasure Hall. After that, he would be able to start trying to enter the Transcendence Realm.
Suddenly, terrifying wails rang out from a distant mountain. The wails were creating quite a scene, so Ye Mo flew over to them.
When Ye Mo looked, he saw a few dozen demons around, each in the Transcendence Third Realm. All sorts of demons were there; the Thousand Hands Demon, Dual Wings Horned Demon, Silver Shark Toxic Demon, and so on. Ye Mo was overjoyed when he saw them.
But then, Ye Mo noticed that at the depths of the mountain, a demon with an even more terrifying presence was hidden. That demon was as big as a dragon and was in the Transcendence Fourth Realm.
Even after completing the Dragon Blood Transformation, Ye Mo might still not be a match for the Transcendence Fourth Realm demon.
After the Dragon Blood Transformation, Ye Mo could easily kill a Transcendence Third Realm expert, but facing a Transcendence Fourth Realm expert, he still stood no chance.
“Senior Brother Zhang Ponu, there seems to be a lot of demons on that mountain. Let’s go take a look.”
While Ye Mo was considering whether he should charge in and kill all those demons, a voice rang out from the distant. Ye Mo frowned before he flashed and concealed himself.
About a dozen Human Dao Palace disciples flew toward the mountain. The disciple leading the group was Zhang Ponu, a Transcendence Fourth Realm warrior. The dozen disciples behind him consisted ranged from Transcendence First Realm to Transcendence Third Realm.
“This group of demons is enough to increase our team points by more than 500 points,” Zhang Ponu said. “And with the leader of the demons only a Transcendence Fourth Realm demon, we have no reason to. Let’s attack together and kill them all.”
Zhang Ponu then released his Transcendence Golden Body, a humanoid giant about 10 meters tall. The Transcendence Golden Body wielded a bow and arrow, and with a wave of his arm, dozens of arrows appeared on the bow.
Each arrow was about three meters long and as thick as an arm. The bow was pulled into a crescent arc.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!
The many arrows streaked across the sky like meteor rain, carrying with them a terrifying force of will.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
First to be hit was a Transcendence First Realm demon. Next, several other demons had their heads exploded. The sky was filled with a mist of blood and flesh.
The disciples behind Zhang Ponu released their Transcendence Golden Bodies, too. Each of them was about 10 meters tall, and as the Transcendence Golden Bodies attacked, mountains started collapsing and demons started dying. One particular disciple specialized in sound attacks, and when that disciple howled at a demon, the sound wave caused the demon’s blood vessels to all burst apart.
In a short while, nearly all the demons on the mountain were killed. Only the strongest of them, the Transcendence Fourth Realm demon was left.
Ye Mo grew anxious as he watched. He was the first one to discover these demons, but the Human Dao Palace disciples killed all of them instead.
There are too many Human Dao Palace disciples here, Ye Mo thought to himself. No matter how strong I am, I won’t be their match.
He decided to give up on fighting over the strongest demon with them. After all, even if he managed to kill it, he’d only get 16 points.
Even so, Ye Mo was indignant.
“Ye Mo, there seems to be something in the depths of the mountain,” Hong Ling said suddenly. “Take a detour and see what’s there.”
“Is that so?”
Ye Mo had no reason to doubt Hong Ling’s words. So, while the others were busy fighting, he concealed himself and snuck toward the depths of the mountain. As he traveled, he discovered an intense storm of sinister wind that was completely different than what he had encountered outside earlier.
Soon after, Ye Mo found a massive demon sleeping on the ground. The “intense storm” was just that demon’s breath!
“This demon is very powerful. It must be at least Transcendence Fifth or even Sixth Realm.” Ye Mo held his breath and hid his presence. Against an enemy of this level, he stood no chance and fleeing was his only chance.
“Ye Mo, this is the Sky Demon. Wake it,” Hong Ling said.
“Wake it? Are you insane?” Ye Mo asked in astonishment.
“No, I’m not. Wake it up and run,” Hong Ling said craftily. “It won’t be able to detect you. Let it attack those Human Dao disciples instead so we can reap the harvest after their fight.”
Ye Mo’s eyes lit up. “Haha, you’re smart.” He laughed and stabbed at the massive demon’s body with his spear without making any noise.
Clang!
The sound of metal on metal rang out and Ye Mo got the sensation that instead of stabbing flesh, he was stabbing hard steel.
“Run! Now!”
With no hesitation whatsoever, Ye Mo unfurled his Caged Dragon Wings and flew away.
Howl!
After being assaulted by a sharp pain, the massive demon opened its eyes and roared. A massive gale rolled out along with the sound, causing the entire mountain to start trembling.
“Who dares disturb my slumber? I’ll tear him apart”
The Sky Demon stood up. It was over 30 meters tall, it looked as if its head was going to reach the heavens. And as it stood up, it discovered that all of its underlings had been killed by a bunch of humans. Upon realizing that, it was infuriated.
“You’re courting death!”
It punched out, and the punch had the force of a volcanic eruption. The entire mountain crumbled, and when the Human Dao Palace disciples noticed the attack, their faces fell. The oppressive attack that seemed like it could destroy worlds struck the humans, sending them flying before crashing onto the ground, coughing blood.
If anyone had suffered a direct hit from that punch, they would have been smashed to smithereens.
“Damn it. There’s actually a big fellow inside?” Zhang Ponu said. Run, quick! That big fellow’s at least a Transcendence Sixth Realm demon. Only the eldest senior brother could deal with a demon at this level.”
Zhang Ponu was trying to keep his Transcendence Golden Body up with great difficulty. After yelling at his underlings, he sped off. The other Human Dao Palace disciples fled all in all directions.
They had already gotten more than 500 points here. That was enough for them.
“Hehe, that punch has injured all of you rather badly. Since that is the case, don’t blame me for what I’m about to do next.” Ye Mo grinned before he unfurled his Caged Dragon Wings and flew toward the Human Dao Palace disciples at a terrifying speed.
It was time for him to reap the harvest!
