…
In the manor.
Xiang Yi had prepared a few more ingredients for the staff, and everyone happily gathered for the barbecue, leaving Shi Sui and Xiang Yi alone in the living room.
Shi Sui leaned back in his chair as he lazily gazed at the little bunny in front of him.
The girl had her cheeks in both hands as she waited for the rice wine mulled eggs in the health pot on the table to cook. Her creamy white complexion revealed a tint of red from the alcohol, while her beautiful eyes were shining, full of stars, her persistent and expectant gaze as cute as ever.
Shi Sui recalled a memory from three years ago.
It’s true, he had a good memory, but he would never remember irrelevant things. He couldn’t even remember what he had done when he visited Xiang Feng’s house that day. The only thing he could remember was little Xiang Yi, who had been secretly drinking alcohol.
The girl in bunny pajamas had opened the door for him. Following formalities, he should have left, but at that time, he had mysteriously felt the urge to step inside the Xiang family.
The girl had prepared a complete set of side dishes—from shredded dried squid, edamame, chicken feet with pickled peppers, peanuts, fried chicken… The portions were not large, but it covered the entire coffee table. There were also two bottles of fruit wine and half a bottle of red wine.
Shi Sui picked up the bottle and glanced at the percentage as he pressed his slender finger tips to his eyebrows.
The unsuspecting girl who harbored no doubts toward him patted the fuzzy cushion next to her and said, “Sit, sit here!”
Shi Sui murmured, “That’s brave of you.”
The girl was evidently drunk as she smiled sweetly at him. As she smiled and smiled, she ended up confessing.
“Big brother, you’re so handsome!”
“I really, really, really like you!”
Shi Sui’s brought his index finger to his thin lips as he coughed uncomfortably.
The one being played was not embarrassed, but the jester himself grabbed a pillow as he buried half his face in it, revealing only a pair of clear bright eyes.
Shi Sui bent his knees, half kneeling in front of her as he lazily draped his arm around her neck. “You like me?” he teased with a smile. “Hey kid, if you fall for me before you are of age, your brothers will gang up and end my life, right?”
“I’m not a kid…” she softly muttered.
“You’re not of legal age yet.”
“Underage… You can’t like someone when you’re underage?” The girl asked in a daze.
“That’s right.” Shi Sui said casually, picking up a piece of dried squid only to have it snatched out of his hand by Xiang Yi.
Arrogantly, the girl said, “Then you can’t eat.”
Shi Sui smiled from her antics. “Stingy.”
“I am stingy.” Xiang Yi pursed her lips and thought about it. “When I grow up, can I like you then?”
Shi Sui pulled out his cigarette box, hesitated for a moment, and placed it back in his pockets. “Whatever you want.”
The girl looked at the shredded squid, then at him, then split the already thin dried squid into two thinner pieces. She stuffed one into his hands and said in a friendly manner, “Then you can have a little bit.”
After she spoke those words, the girl tilted her head onto the sofa as she felt her eyelids become heavy, falling asleep in the blink of an eye.
Shi Sui: “…”
He looked down at the piece of dried squid in the palm of his hand and bit it with the tip of his teeth. A faint sweetness spread through his palette as he lowered his eyebrows and smiled lightly.
Ding—
The health pot had finished brewing.
Xiang Yi served Shi Sui a bowl of rice wine and eggs first before pouring one for herself.
When Shi Sui regained his senses, his gaze fell on Xiang Yi. The girl was cooling the pot by stirring it with a spoon. The red goji berries, yellow egg flowers, and white glutinous rice rippled in the mixture. She tasted a spoonful and huffed at the heat.
Perceiving his gaze, Xiang Yi turned her head to look at him.
Instantly, she was met by a senior’s seemingly promiscuous gaze…
The girl licked the corners of her lips and instantly became sheepish. “It’s very sweet. Senior, don’t you want to try it?”
