The media were still unaware of the latest rustle in the Fu family as there was been no reason to be aware, so things were still going on smoothly.
Today at the house that Meixu and Shi Qiao owned, the former was staring at a movie script, but her mind was elsewhere.
Something was ringing in her head.
Just to show you how out of it she was, Shi Qiao who was standing at the doorway called her twice, but she didn’t hear him. He had to make the effort by going to sit next to her.
Meixu only reacted when he put his hand on her shoulder.
”Where is your mind? Is the script so interesting that you didn’t even hear me calling you?” Shi Qiao asked as a small smile played at the corner of his lips.
Meixu sighed and out the script away. “I was completely lost thinking about something conflicting and important at the same time.”
”Do you mind sharing it with me?” Shi Qiao asked. He was curious as to what important thought was going through her mind.
Meixu smiled and took his hand and squeezed it gently. “I was thinking if we could start preparing for a child when I’m done filming this movie.”
Shi Qiao was out of it for a few seconds as he doubted if he heard her right. She was wanted then to have a child soon?
”Wait, are you serious or are you pulling my legs? Hold on, are you recording this?” Shi Qiao asked a little nervous about all of this.
Meixu chuckled softly as her eyes wrinkled a bit at the corner. “No, how can I joke about an important matter like this? I’m serious. I don’t want to wait anymore, let’s have a baby once I’m done filming.”
”Seriously? Are you for real?” Shi Qiao asked a little excitedly.
He was elated because he told her when they were courting that she wouldn’t like to have a child immediately. She needed like 3 years into their marriage before preparing to have children which he agreed.
At that time, he felt that it was a little far as he really wanted a child, but since he loved her so much and was accepting and understanding of her, he agreed to it.
Now, she was saying that she was ready to have a child with him, wasn’t that the greatest news he has ever had recently?
In response to his question, Meixu nodded. “I have thought things through and decided to have a child soon. I will finish filming in 3 months, and maybe at the end of the third month, we would start preparing.”
She had been thinking about this for the past few days and discovered that having a child wouldn’t be a bad idea.
She can take 3 years off her career to have a child and raise it for another year, while spending time with her family, before going back to the screen again.
Despite the cons of taking that much gap off the screen, knowing fully well that she might not have a better come back, as other actresses fighting for an image would take over the screens before she comes back, she was ready to do it.
Sometimes, it was not all about her career, family was important as well. Although Shi Qiao might not stop her from working because he already understood how much she loved her work before he proposed to her, she should still think about the right thing to do.
Shi Qiao was so happy that he lifted her in his arms and twirled.
”This is good news! Honey, you don’t know how happy I am!”
”Of course, I know how happy you are, can you put me down before I get dizzy?” Meixu said giving off a small laugh.
She was happy to have made him happy with that decision she made. Who knew he wanted a child badly but didn’t say anything to her about it?
Shi Qiao refused to put her down until he has had enough fun. Even at that, his excitement didn’t die down that easily. That evening, he took her on a shopping date.
You know that feeling when your man takes you out for shopping and tells you to pick anything you want? That was how Meixu was feeling.
Back at the Fu house, Zhang Liling was chewing some nuts while reading a fashion magazine.
Fu Hua saw how busy her mouth was, and how focused she was on that magazine and got jealous.
She hasn’t even spared him a glance since he stepped into the room. Even when she noticed his presence and greeted him, she didn’t raise her head.
He wondered what was more interesting in the magazine that got all of her attention.
Getting off the couch, Fu Hua walked into the closet to change his dress and take a shower. He had just finished playing with that giddy little girl and wanted to freshen up and wash the sweat off his body.
When he was done, he wrapped a towel around his body and walked into the room. He looked so breathtaking after taking a shower, but there was no one to admire him.
Small droplets of water trickle down his chest from his hair as he tool slow and steady steps to the bed.
Jia Li was too engrossed with the fashion magazine that even when she noticed his presence, she didn’t react.
The next thing she felt after his presence, was the wet lips on her cheeks, plus the fresh scent of the shower gel he used to wash his.
Jia Li smiled and continued to read the magazine. She was resting the story of a famous fashion icon which was so interesting.
She thought he only wanted a peck, that was why she smiled and didn’t look at him, but who knew he was more than half-naked and wanted something more?
