Jia Li felt as much hurt as she felt for her daughter, for the old man who first showed her kindness amongst the members of the Fu family.
FangSu comforted Jia Li and said, “For the first time in a long time, we didn’t have lunch together, not because work took some of us out, but because of a situation like this.”
”We will get through this,” YingPei said a word of encouragement.
After dropping off some toiletries and clothes for Jia Li since they would be spending a night at the hospital with Jasmine, FangSu left with Fu Hee and YingPei.
Fu Hee comforted Jia Li and Fu Hua before leaving. She said she would return later in the evening with their dinner.
Before they left, Jasmine regained consciousness, you need to see how Jia Li flew out of Fu Hua’s arms and rushed to the little girl’s side.
Because her eyes had been on her all this time, she was the first person to see her blink her eyes and move her fingertips.
Fu Hua was shocked with how she rushed over, as she forgot that she could trip over and fall, but that was not what she was interested in.
Her daughter was awake, she needed to check how she was doing.
Sending the familiar faces surrounding her and calling out to her in cheerful voices, Jasmine managed a smile.
”Da Xia, are you okay? Do you feel any pain? Does your tummy still hurt?” Jia Li inquired with a worried gaze.
”I’m fine,” Jasmine replied in a recovery tone. The little girl looked happy seeing her family with her.
When she met her father’s gaze, she called out to him happily. Her tone still sounded low like she had gone through something, but you could still be detected in her tone.
”How is my princess doing?” Fu Hua asked while patting her head gently with a big smile on his face.
”I’m fine, daddy,” Jasmine replied.
”Do you want to eat anything? Tell me, grandma will prepare it for you,” Fu Hee said to her.
Jasmine thought for a while before replying, “Ice cream.”
Everyone laughed before Fu Hee responded to her, “Once you leave this place, grandma will prepare ice cream of different flavors for you. For now, I’m going to prepare a yummy porridge for you.”
”Thank you,” Jasmine replied cheerfully.
Later, Fu Hua went to call the doctor to come and check on Jasmine.
After checking on her, she said she was fine but still had to be under observation because the pain relief drug in her drip, was what was keeping her from experiencing pain.
The doctor told them and the nurse she came with what to look out for during the next 24 hours, before leaving.
In the evening, Fu Hee did return with their dinner and the special porridge she prepared for Jasmine, which was approved by the doctor.
The little girl needed to eat something simple without lots of calories etc.
Later at night, Jia Li and Fu Hua tucked Jasmine in after reading a bedtime story to her. They didn’t need any servant to help them, because they wanted to do it alone.
After tucking Jasmine in, Fu Hua helped Jia Li to lay on the extra bed brought into the room, while he sat on the couch to watch over them. Obviously, the couch would have to be his bed for the night.
The next day, Shi Qiao heard what happened in the Fu family and came over, and he ended up not leaving with Meixu that day.
At the hospital, Daiyu heard about what happened to Jasmine from YingPei and came to visit as her godmother although, YingPei didn’t give her the full gist.
He only told her that she had food poisoning from eating two wrong food together.
When Daiyu came over at noon, Jasmine was so much better. The enzyme required to break down the banana and milk was facilitated with the help of the drug she was given, and no pain was felt in the process anymore, because of the pain relief drug which was also administered to her.
This same day, Fu Lei continued to carry out the investigations his father assigned to him, while Fu Geming went to the hospital to see Aiguo with two family lawyers.
Aiguo wasn’t surprised to see him because he knew he would be signing the divorce papers that very day.
When he asked about Fu Juan, Fu Geming told him not to bother about her, as she was somewhere reaping what she sowed.
Indirectly, Fu Geming mentioned her involvement in his accident, which was currently being investigated, but Aiguo didn’t look surprised, because since he regained consciousness, he had a gut feeling that she was responsible for that accident.
”Anyway, I’m not going to press charges. This can be taken as a parting gift to her and the Fu family. Now, I don’t owe anyone anything.
Fu Geming nodded and went on to talk about business.
Fu Juan who was the president of their company was going to spend up to 3 years in the barracks, and while she was gone, Aiguo. being the Vice President should take charge until her return, but given his state, that was not possible.
According to Fu Juan’s will, her shares will be taken care of by the Fu family if anything happens to her, and based on that authority and to keep that company afloat, the Fu family was going to intervene now.
Fu Geming was telling Aiguo about it ahead of time, so a board meeting would be scheduled, and an acting president would be appointed, who will be someone the Fu family would be sending.
Aiguo was free to take back control if he gets better and was able to do better than the current acting president.
But when Fu Juan returns, she would take back her position.
The Fu family was not being biased when it came to business, because it was clear that Fu Juan was indeed better at business than Aiguo, and everything relating to business should not involve sentiments.
Everything has to be done right. Although Fu Juan committed a crime, her family was not going to abandon her business and let it sink when they were there.
