He didn’t want to waste his time speaking to her without hearing from her husband. His thoughts on this matter currently, was for her to get a divorce as there was nothing more to savage in that relationship.
He didn’t want to wait until she completely destroyed herself before intervening. This time around he will forcefully make his way through.
Before everyone dispersed, Fu Juan directed a question to her father. She asked if she would be allowed to live in the house if she eventually gets a divorce, but Grandfather Fu rejected it.
He said that she would never live with them, but she can come to stay a few times and go back to her place.
After getting that reply, Fu Juan left for her room angrily, while her father and brothers concluded on the matter.
Fu Juan’s mood was difficult not to detect because she wasn’t hiding it. If she didn’t have a grip on her anger, she would have gone about breaking the things in the room to vent her anger.
Lanying knew that all was not well, and worried about them being thrown out of the house, so she quickly tried to comfort her, while at the same time, asking if everything was okay.
The only thing Fu Juan said to her was that she was never going to divorce that man, before going into the washroom.
Lanying sighed and went back to the bed and picked up her phone to continue watching videos on her phone.
Around noon, Fu Hee was told that Lanying’s bedroom was ready, so she went to check things out for herself. Finding everything in other, she asked the housekeeper and two other servants to move Lanying’s things into that room and inform her it was ready.
When Fu Juan and Lanying learned that her room was ready, they were happy, more especially the room owner was happy, as she could now have her own privacy.
Following the housekeeper to go see the room, Fu Juan looked unhappy, and more so when she finally saw the bedroom.
Lanying had no problem with the bedroom, but her mother did. She even stopped the servants from moving her things into the room.
When Fu Hee heard about the commotion, she came to check things out. After she heard Fu Juan’s complaints about the location and decoration of the room, she replied…
”You and your daughter won’t be here for long, so there is no need to take a week of hassle to decorate a room to her taste, and then change everything after 7 weeks.”
Since Fu Juan was going to stay here for 2 months, that is 8 weeks, there was no need to change the style of the room to Lanying’s taste and then change it back to what it was supposed to look like after they were gone.
Fu Juan couldn’t accept her words as they made her feel that her daughter was an outsider and she had to retaliate.
”My daughter is also a member of this family so why doesn’t she get the premium treatment like her cousins? Don’t you dare ostracize her!! We have a place in this house. This is my father’s house, so I have a share of everything!”
”How can you, being a married daughter claim ownership of your father’s house? We should index respect and take care of your needs when you are here, but not cater to your unreasonable demands.” Fu Hee replied angrily.
She hated Fu Juan’s arrogant and disrespectful attitude, so she had to talk back at her.
”Oh! My demands are unreasonable, but you can’t spend money to make my daughter comfortable knowing fully well that this is her first time here.” Fu Juan said while pointing fingers at her
Now, Fu Hee was really angry about the blame and couldn’t help talking about it, “Whose fault is it that your daughter doesn’t get to enjoy the bedroom style you had in mind? You knew clearly that you would be coming with her, but you didn’t tell anyone, and now you expect us to perform magic and do as you want? I’m sorry, I can’t do that.”
Fu Hee was still angry about her coming over with her adoptive daughter without letting anyone know beforehand. For now, she has done everything she can to make her daughter comfortable in the bedroom she arranged for her.
She made sure that she wouldn’t lack bath supplies and the rest before her stay elapsed. But here was Fu Juan not appreciating the little efforts.
Lanying was afraid that the two women in a heated argument, will cause the rest of the family to gather, and then she would end up losing what she gained, hence, she tried to stop her mother, but failed.
”Mum, the bedroom is fine, and it has everything I would need.” Lanying persuaded, but Fu Juan turned to her to say, “No, it’s not fine!” And then fixed her gaze back to Fu Hee.
She went on to remind her of the kind of treatment Jia Li received in the Fu family when she first came over.
Fu Hee couldn’t help laughing out loud because of her pettiness. She couldn’t believe that she would dare to drag her innocent daughter-in-law into the matter.
”What’s funny?” Fu Juan asked.
”Now I know you just want to make trouble. Have you forgotten that Jia Li was treated like a normal guest when she first arrived here for the Fashion show, but when it was clear that she was going to live with us, your father ordered a better room to be tailored to her taste?” Fu Hee asked.
Back then, it was Grandfather Fu that ordered the premium treatment Jia Li had received. After reminding her of it, Fu Hee went on to taunt her.
”If you feel that I am partial, and want your daughter to enjoy the premium treatment, I will be waiting for father to pass the instruction directly.”
After saying that to her, Fu Hee walked away.
