The conclusion after watching the CCTV footage leading to that room was that it was either Mark had the drugs in his pocket, or Bai Jun had the drug in her bag and wanted to plant it in the room in other to frame Mark.
Several speculations rose, and more investigations were carried out. In Bai Jun’s story, she had a cup of orange juice and a meal at the hotel. One was provided by Mark, and the order was from the hotel.
When further investigations were done to find out how Bai Jun ingested the hard drug, nothing much was found. The empty juice cup Bai Jun disposed of in the waste bin, was taken out that same hour, and disposed of, so that evidence was lost.
At long last, Bai Jun spent several days in police custody until evidence was found against Mark.
Although Bai Jun has been released from prison, she didn’t have the same guts she had as before. She was found guilty of conniving with Mark to plot against FangSu, so, some charges were made against her.
After spending a lot of money to free herself from the charges or spend 6 months in jail, she escaped to her apartment. With the help of an agent, she sold off every expensive designers item she had.
She still had a few months before her house rent expires, but she found herself lucky to receive her balance because she wanted to leave that environment. She ended up selling the pieces of furniture and every item in her apartment that Mark got for her, although they were not much.
Gathering all the money she realized from seeking her expensive properties, she paid 98% of it into her bank account. Next, she took her remaining properties and left the city.
Bai Jun found a small town to settle down in another city. She was forced to become wise after finding out that she had no more reputation left to savage. Mark completely destroyed the one she had.
Although she was not found guilty of hard drugs, and the news was announced, it still wasn’t enough to get people to stop talking. She knew her time was up, and the next trouble she causes will land a sentence of spending the rest of her life in prison.
Bai Jun wanted revenge, but she also don’t want to die disgracefully like Alix who ended up not achieving anything before died.
Several times, Bai Jun had thought of the possibility of failing to get revenge and the consequences that will follow. Thinking about it, she decided to give herself a second chance to find a new life.
She deleted her social media accounts and sold her phone because she didn’t want to be distributed or tempted by any news, and gradually, Bai Jun disappeared from the internet, and her whereabouts remained unknown, but not to Fu Hua.
Zimo just finished reporting the location Bai Jun decided to settle in because Fu Hua wanted an eye on her.
Fu Hua was satisfied and relaxed now. Mark was being taken care of in the states, and Bai Jun was finally clear on the path she wants to follow now.
”Take a day off from work tomorrow, and make sure to relax all you want.” Fu Hua said. This was the reward he was giving to him for his hard work and diligence.
Zimo thanked him and left. Now the two household villains were gone!
After work, Fu Hua took Jia Li out for dinner. And wondering what occasion they were celebrating, Jia Li asked about it.
”Did the company sign a new deal? Did you win a trophy or an award?”
”Can’t I take my wife out for dinner for no particular reason?” Fu Hua asked with a smile as he took her hand and walked off the elevator together.
Jia Li smiled and followed after him. “You are being so sweet this evening.”
”I have been nothing but sweet since we came together.” Fu Hua replied as they approached his car together.
”You are so cheesy.” Jia Li giggled.
Fu Hua took Jia Li to a new fancy French restaurant that opened, to have dinner. The menu had different dishes which Jia Li was unfamiliar with.
”I wish I could understand everything that is written here so I can make my choice.” Jia Li said with a pout. It really was frustrating when you don’t know what to pick because you can’t understand a particular language.
Fu Hua smiled and comforted her, “You have your husband here, so why the struggle?” Fu Hua went on to call the waiter to explain the dishes to his wife.
The image of dishes the restaurants offered, were on the menu, but Jia Li’s main interest was in knowing what was used to make them, so she could the ones that she liked.
After explaining the dishes to her, Jia Li finally made her pick.
”When you said I had you here, I thought you were going to explain it yourself, who knew you would call the waiter over.” Jia Li teased.
Fu Hua touched his brows and said, “I wanted to give you premium satisfaction, so I called a waiter who had a better understanding than me.”
”What a good husband. You ordered wine, is it meant for me alone because you can’t drink and drive?” Jia Li asked.
Among the order they made, a bottle of an expensive French wine was included. It was wrong to drive after drinking, so Jia Li had to confirm her doubts.
”I will drink with you, someone will drive us home.” Fu Hua revealed with a smile.
”Who?” Jia Li inquired with a curious gaze.
”Ling will, he is close by. He didn’t come out with his car, so he can drive us home.” Fu Hua replied.
Jia Li folded her arms under her chest and said with a narrowed gaze, “You are going to turn your cousin into a driver?”
”I asked for help, and he was available to offer it.” Came Fu Hua’s response.
