From visiting Ocean and her grown-up pups, the mother and daughter visited the toddler house.
"Jasmine, shall we cook and clean today?" Jia Li asked with a bright smile.
"Yes!" Jasmine said excitedly, and not long after, work began. The mother and daughter started cleaning the house by themselves until Fu Hua joined them some minutes later.
After cleaning the house, Jia Li proceeded to show the little girl how to cook instant noodles.
"Jasmine, this is not healthy." Jia Li said as she held up the packet of instant noodles in her hand.
"Then why are we making it?" Jasmine asked with furrowed brows. The little girl looked just like her father at this moment.
Jasmine already knew the meaning of healthy food, and likewise an unhealthy one, so she was very much confused when her mother identified instant noodles as unhealthy, but still wanted them to cook it.
Smiling, Jia Li said to her, "It is unhealthy, so we don't eat it often, but there is a way to make it nutritious when we want to eat it."
"Really?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes, and I'm going to show you how." Jia Li replied, and then went on to ask, "Are you excited?"
"Yeah!!!" Jasmine said excitedly with her hands up above her head.
Fu Hua who was sitting on one side, smiled as he watched the mother and daughter before he was called over. He was in charge of taking out the ingredients from the mini-refrigerator.
Jia Li showed the ingredients to the little girl, so she could know what they were called.
Cooking instant noodles took a while because the little bun wanted to help out, and so Jia Li assigned some none risky tasks to her.
while waiting for the noodles to cook, Jasmine kept clapping her hands while gazing at the pot impatiently. She asked when the noodles would be ready about 5 times before Jia Li turned off the flames.
Before, when Jia Li had brought out 4 packets of instant noodles, Jasmine had asked, "Mummy, we are three, why did you take out 4 packets?"
Jia Li had laughed and said, "So it will be enough for us. Your daddy and I are adults, so we eat more, and three packets wouldn't have satisfied all three of us."
Jasmine nodded in understanding and didn't ask any more questions concerning it.
When the food was served, Jia Li passed one of the plates to the little girl, and she said with a big smile, "Thank you, mummy!"
"You're welcome! Go sit at the dining table." Jia Li said to her.
Fu Hua would have loved to help the little girl carry her plate of food to the table, but Jia Li wanted her to do it by herself. The only thing Fu Hua did was to keep watch over her, so she wouldn't accidentally spill the hot food on herself.
As Jasmine used her fork to pick up some noodles from her plate, she leaned in to blow on it before sending it into her mouth.
Jia Li and Fu Hua watched their little girl with proud smiles on their face.
"Say, do you think Da Xia will teach her younger ones well?" Fu Hua leaned in to whisper to Jia Li's ear, for fear that they would have to talk about babies if Jasmine overhears it.
"I don't know. I'm just thinking if she will be a strict big sister or a younger-sibling spoiling big sister." Jia Li whispered back.
The two have seen how commanding and sweet Jasmine could be at times, so they were unsure of how her relationship with her younger ones would be in the future.
"I think she can play both roles perfectly." Fu Hua said with a smile, before picking up his fork to eat.
Looking at her little daughter who seemed to be enjoying the food, Jia Li asked with a soft expression on her face, "Jasmine, do you like it?"
Jasmine looked up to reply, "Yes, I love it."
"Good… good… don't talk anymore, just eat your food." Jia Li said to her. She felt it was wrong to ask the little girl questions while she was eating because of accidentally choking it, or the food entering the wrong place.
After eating, Jasmine thanked her parents before asking with a curious gaze, "Mummy, will grandma scold you for giving me this to eat?"
"Why would you ask that?" Fu Hua asked from the side in surprise, and here came the little girl's answer.
"The other day, grandma scolded Aunt Su for giving me chocolates and candies. She said it was unhealthy to eat a lot of it."
"Oh! Grandma is right, you can't eat too much of set foods. Also, grandma will not scold your mum, so you don't have to worry about it." Fu Hua assured her.
It looks like the little girl was concerned about her mother tying scolded.
"Really?" Jasmine asked with her gaze on him.
"Yes, grandma won't scold your mummy because she made the food, healthy." Fu Hua said, reminding her of the healthy noodles she had just eaten.
Jia Li had used fresh veggies and fish to cook instant noodles, so it could be considered as healthy and nutritious food.
After resting for a bit, Jia Li packed the dirty dishes and went them to the kitchen sink, before calling Jasmine over to help her out.
While she washed the dishes, Jasmine rinsed them off, and Fu Hua wiped them with a piece of clean white clothes, before putting them away.
From the kitchen to the lawn, the family of three took a walk before going into the main house. The rest of the day was spent with Ling helping Jasmine with her homework after she took a nap, and Jia Li and Fu Hua, working in the study.
Jia Li still had her brand which she was working on. She was still putting things in place. She took out all her old sketches to assemble something new.
Some of the old sketches which she has never used anywhere were rebranded. Some things were added to it, which improved them.
Currently, Jia Li was picking out 10 sketches she was going to work with.
