Jia Li who was looking more fresh and relaxed from the vacation, couldn't help but think of how her little girl would react to seeing her.
Jia Li looked so much better after taking a few days' rests. Not just that, she looked ready to immerse herself in work.
On getting to Jasmine's school, there was a few minutes left for the class dismissal, so she waited in the car, and just then, Fu Hua's call came in.
A big smile appeared on Jia Li's face when she saw he was calling her on a video call. She guessed that he must have known she was back already and was calling to scold her for not letting him know.
Without wasting time, Jia Li picked up the call.
"Sweetheart, why didn't you tell me you were back?" Fu Hua asked with a smile.
"I thought you would be busy with work, so I wanted you to come back and see me. Remember, I told you about it yesterday." Jia Li said to him.
"Yes you did, but your parking husband has been very busy at work since today. Maybe a little reminder would have helped." Fu Hua said.
Jia Li chuckled and said, "I'm sorry, I almost forgot about you, I was only after coming to pick Jasmine up from school because I promised her that."
Fu Hua said immediately, "How can you only remember your daughter and forget me? Have you forgotten how you conceived her, do you need a reminder?"
His words caused her to chuckle so hard that tears were beginning to trick out from the corner of her eyes. Fu Hua was infected with her laughter and joined her with a chuckle.
"See how beautiful you are looking after a few days of staying away from me. Is it that I'm causing you trouble?" Fu Hua teased.
"No…" Jia Li said with a smile and continued, "I was losing my mind because of a troubling situation and saved me from wallowing in grief, I owe you a big thanks."
"So does that mean I'm getting a sumptuous dinner tonight?" Fu Hua teased with a big smile on his face.
Jia Li knew the secret meaning of his words and laughed uncontrollably. "There will be no opportunity for that tonight. I missed you and our daughter, so I want us to spend the night together in one big bed."
"Alright then, you will owe me one." Fu Hua said while staring at her with those deep seductive eyes of his.
"No, let me make it up to you by taking you out for dinner." Jia Li suggested. She thought that going out at night and treating him to a fancy dinner wouldn't be back."
Fu Hua gazed at her with an unsatisfied gaze without saying anything. He asked for something else, and she wanted to replace it with another thing. Jia Li immediately placated him while smiling…
"I want to spend on you just like you did for me. I would have loved to cook personally for you, but I feel that everyone in the family will think you're bullying me after coming back from a trip." Jia Li said.
Jia Li was right. She has just come back from a vacation and a long trip, and she needed to rest. If she were to enter the kitchen now to cook for Fu Hua, he would end up being scolded by the elders, and she didn't want it.
On other days, Jia Li could be free to make use of the kitchen, but for now, she can't.
Fu Hua understood her and smiled while saying, "I was only teasing you, I can have that kind of dinner any other time. Also, I have missed your cooking. I would love to taste your food soon."
"Sure, I will cook for you soon." Jia Li said with a smile.
Before they could continue with their conversation, the school bell rang. Jia Li became a little distracted and glanced out through the car's window.
"Darling, I will see you at home, I have to pick up Jasmine." Jia Li said as she returned her gaze to him.
"Sure, go ahead. See you soon, I love you." Fu Hua said and blew kisses to her. Jia Li did the same before ending the call.
Jia Li did not come to Jasmine's school alone, and she didn't drive herself either. She just came back from a long trip, nobody in the Fu family will let her drive herself.
Jia Li came with a driver who drove her down there and also a bodyguard.
A few moments later, Jia Li was already standing outside and editing for Jasmine to be brought by her teacher.
Jia Li was even a little bit distracted with her phone, and only tame back to reality when she heard her little girl's excited voice calling out to her.
Jasmine walked out of the building with her teacher holding her hand when she saw the familiar figure of her mother. A big smile spread across her smooth face as she immediately let go of her teacher's hand and ran towards her mother while calling out to her…
"Mummy!!!"
Jia Li was so full of joy and impatience that she didn't wait for her little girl to come to her side, before rushing forward and meeting her midway.
With joyful laughter never ceasing from their lips, the mother and daughter embraced each other.
Jasmine even said that she missed her as she higher her tightly after she (Jia Li) lifted her in her arms.
"I missed you too baby." Jia Li said as she embraced her tightly.
The other parents who came to pick up their children watched them from the side with different thoughts goings-on in their heads.
Some of them knew the reason for that scene and only confirmed it after they saw that scene. Jia Li indeed has been away for some days.
Finally, the mother and daughter got into the car, and they couldn't stop talking to each other until they got back home.
"Mummy, did you get anything for me?" Jasmine asked as their car came to halt in front of the Fu Mansion.
Jia Li chuckled softly and replied, "Of course, I got you so many goodies!!!"
