Was Jia Li able to sleep that night? No, she wasn't. She had a hard time closing her eyes and she only did that around 5 AM.
Fu Hua was tired too exhausted to stay awake with her, so he dozed off with her lying in his arms.
Although he didn't stay awake with her, he knew she slept late, and that was the reason he shushed the little girl when she woke up that morning and wanted to speak to him.
"Don't shout, your mummy is tired. Let's allow her to sleep some more." Fu Hua said to her.
Jasmine nodded obediently and followed her after to the washroom to be ready.
"Aunty Su will help you to take a bath okay?" Fu Hua said to her after watching her brush her teeth by herself.
"Okay, daddy," Jasmine said with a cheeky smile before following her father out to find FangSu.
Nobody disturbed Jia Li until it was about 15 minutes to breakfast time. Then Fu Hua woke her up and asked her to go and wash up.
"What time is it?" Jia Li asked with a hand over her swollen eyes.
Fu Hua moved the duvet away from her body while replying, "You don't need to know what time it is, but you have to be as quick as possible."
"That means I'm late." Jia Li said as she quickly got out of bed, but that made her feel dizzy for a few seconds.
Fu Hua caught her and asked with a worried gaze, "Are you okay? Do you feel alright?"
"I'm fine, I just need to get dressed right now." Jia Li said as she assured him.
"Your eyes are swollen, don't forget to you the hot water to massage them, but if you need my help, I will do that for you." Fu Hua said as he followed her into the washroom.
"I can handle it, thank you." Jia Li said as she picked up her toothbrush that Fu Hua had already put the toothpaste on, and began to brush her teeth as quickly as possible.
"Your bath is ready, and I'm going to get your outfit ready, don't take too long, and call me if there is anything, I will be next door." Fu Hua said while restoring with his hands.
Jia Li nodded in response and continued to brush her teeth in a fast reflex. If she wasn't moody, she would have loved to comment on her husband treating her like a small child who can't take care of herself.
After getting her clothes ready, Fu Hua quickly changed into his outfit befitting the occasion for the day, and in no time, Jasmine was brought back to the room by FangSu.
While the father and daughter were in the bedroom talking, Jia Li was in the closet, pitting on the outfit Fu Hua had arranged for her.
"Daddy, where is mummy?" Jasmine asked.
"Mummy is having her bath." Fu Hua replied as he lifted her to sit on his thighs. The little girl looked so excited as she asked, "Can I bath with mummy?"
"But you've had your bath already." Fu Hua said to her with a smile.
"Oh!" Jasmine said.
As the father and daughter continued to converse, Jia Li did her hair and walked out.
"Mummy!" Jasmine called out excitedly and jumped down from her father's thighs before running to hug her mother, while Fu Hua got to his feet to watch the mother and daughter with a smile.
"How are you, my baby?" Jia Li asked as she smiled when she saw her beautiful active daughter run to hug her.
"Fine!" Jasmine said while looking up at her with a smile.
After the little interaction between the mother and daughter, Fu Hua said while gazing at Jia Li's face.
"Your eyes look better now." He said and approached her to touch her cheeks.
"I did the hot water massage, so it got a lot better." Jia Li said.
Fu Hua didn't want to bring up last night's incident as it would make Jia Li sad, so he was avoiding it. Admiring his beautiful wife, he leaned in to kiss her cheeks before taking her hand.
"We have two minutes to be at the breakfast table, let's not keep them waiting." Fu Hua said.
The family of three was on time to arrive at the dinner table. And after the greetings, they took their seats and began to eat along with the others.
Mu Keer who has been impatiently waiting for Carlos to call her and talk about her remaining balance hasn't received any call, and she didn't want to be the one to call either.
If the news (video) was up, there was no way she could find out because she had no TV or smartphone to see it. And she doubted that anybody would notify her of it.
In fact, she was sure that nobody in their place would accept what she did because they knew her character too well and the fact that her husband caused her brother and his wife's death, and she still had the guts to say all those nonsense about Jia Li in that interview.
She knew they would come after her, so her plan was to use that balance Carlos was to give to her, to settle her debts and run to another city or town with her children in other to hide away from the media and attention from those that wouldn't want her alive.
She dared to offend two significant families in Country C, and that alone was enough for her to run away. She still cherished her life.
"What is taking this man so long to give me a call, or send the person that would give me the money?" Mu Keer said with a deep frown as her two children watched her as well. They were aware of what their mother did, and they were in support of it, as long as they could get money to feed.
While talking angrily about her money which she was supposed to receive the latest by this morning, a light knock sounded on their door.
"Mother, it could be the man has sent somebody to bring your money." Mu Keer's son said excitedly.
Immediately he said that Mu Keer scrambled up from the floor and ran to the door along with her excited children.
