Seeing her trying to sit up, Mr. Suarez who was sitting on the chair next to the bed held her hands and helped her to sit up, while the nurse put some pillows behind her back so she could rest her back on them.
It was never Alix's intention to faint. She only wanted to announce that she was pregnant during the meeting but she didn't expect to get into a fight and faint in the process.
But this was her luck, as she can take advantage of it.
Alix did not allow him to touch. She was still very angry with how she was maltreated earlier. She created a big scene and said she was going to sue Mr. Suarez's daughter for assault.
Her face was swollen and her body ached terribly. She was in pain and she wanted to make sure she got revenge.
What was a discomfort for her, turned out to be a blessing in disguise and she made sure to make use of it.
Alix's anger was not just because she was physically assaulted but also because she would have lost the child she made an effort to have.
If she lost the child, all her plans would fail. At most, she would be given an extra property or more money to compensate for the loss she experienced. As for the shares, she wouldn't even get 0.01% of them.
Mr. Suarez who heard what the doctor said about the fetus being unstable, tried to placate her by saying he would give her an answer.
It took time for Alix to calm down. After learning of her child's situation, she couldn't move vigorously as she needed it to get some shares from Mr. Suarez.
At last, the person who hit her came to apologize to her unwillingly. Alix snorted and didn't answer her. Her situation has now made her a Boss. Whatever she wanted, she would receive.
"You don't look sincere in any way. After putting me in this condition, she dare to come to apologize to me empty-handed, who taught you such ethics?" Alix had said.
Talking to someone who can give birth to her based on their age gap in that manner, Alix sure had a lot of guts. Well, it was her luck for having an upper hand.
Although she was very angry for being insulted, she still had to obey her father's instructions. The next day, she came back with white lilies and jewelry she casually picked from the store.
Alix was angry that she brought white lilies for her. She made a scene and wanted to give the woman a hard time but she gave her a clear warning.
"Don't push your luck."
Now that Alix was pregnant, it was obvious that Mr. Suarez has to make some adjustments to his Will. There was no way he wouldn't give some shares to Alix's child because that child belonged to him.
Two days later, he phoned his lawyer Carlos and asked him to come to the house, so they could talk about his will again.
At the end of the meeting, a 1% share was to be given to Alix. Carlos didn't know the reason for his change of mind but when he asked and got a reply, he was surprised.
Alix was pregnant, how come?
When Carlos left the place, he phoned Alix to ask about her pregnancy. Alix's voice sounded very clear with excitement.
"Are you really pregnant?" Carlos asked.
Alix could sense the doubt in his tone. She scoffed and replied, "Do you think I will fake my pregnancy?"
"Who knows, you are capable of anything." Carlos said.
"My getting pregnant was intentional. I wanted the shares, so I worked for it." Alix said in excitement. She was alone in the room and that's the reason she could talk so freely.
"You are lucky to have gotten 1% of the shares." Carlos revealed to her.
"Really but that's too small." Alix said with a slight smile.
Carlos sniggered, "You are greedy. Mr. Suarez is already going against the promise he made to his children to give you some shares."
"And how is that my business if he has to fail in his promises? I don't give a damm." Alix said.
What was her business if Mr. Suarez couldn't keep his promise to his children?
"It's not your business indeed but be sure to keep that child safe if you still want those shares. If anything happens to that child before it's born, just forget about the shares."
"What!" Alix exclaimed in surprise. She had no idea that she would have to give birth to the child before she can lay her hands on those shares.
She was so angry that a condition was attached to the shares that were to be given to her.
"You are lucky he didn't ask you to manage the shares for a limited time before giving it to the child. And what if he didn't give you any right to the shares and only to the child?" Carlos asked.
Alix was not even thinking of the fact that her plans would have failed if not for a bit of tiny luck. She had planned to get rid of the child after giving birth to it but now, it looks like she had to make sure the child was born by all means.
It's possible that the people in the house might try to harm her child to make sure nothing gets to her, so she is now forced to keep the child.
