In the last week of June, the Creative Arts department of FJ was already through with their designs, and after Fu Hua approved of them, Sunny gave the signal for production to start in 2 days after the materials for the outfits has been sought out.
Since Jia Li was Sunny's assistant, she had a copy of the designs for the Autumn show in her system and being the easiest target, and because of the revenge she had in mind, Bai Jun decided to steal the designs directly from her, the same day she submitted her resignation later.
(Wait, ? how did we get here? Well, let's go a little backward to understand the situation ?)
After complaining to her family about ending her marriage with Yang Peng, Bai Jun refused to go back to the Yang family's home and insisted on staying in the Bai house.
Since the old lady of the Bai family did not speak against it as she pitied her granddaughter, nobody in the family said another word.
That weekend, on Sunday evening, Bai Jun went to a club to get high as she was feeling depressed. She went straight to the bar to sit and order a drink for herself.
From her countenance and actions, it could be seen that she didn't come to have fun in any way. Bai Jun didn't care if she was recognized and drank away her pain.
The Boss of U&ME was sitting somewhere and drinking with someone he was about to do business with.
"Let me see the kind of designs I'm paying for." Mr. U (Boss of U&ME) said with a frown as he put his glass ? on the table with a frown, and snatched the brown envelope from the man sitting opposite him.
"I'm sure you will like them." The man said as he picked up his glass abd drank from it in a relaxed manner. His tone sounded confident as well.
Opening the document, Mr. U went on to bring out the sketches in it and put them on the table. While going through them, he asked, "Where did you get these designs from?."
"I bought them from young talented people, but I won't divulge their identities to you, since it's my business." The man replied with a proud smile.
"The designs make sense, how much did you pay them, and are you sure they are amateurs?." Mr. U asked as he looked up at him.
"They are indeed amateurs, and don't know rye value of their talent, so all I did was to take advantage of that. This is not really professional, so you can get your design team to alter a few things and you are good to go. As for the price, I won't tell you." The man said to him as he swirled his glass.
"You don't need to tell me the price, I will still pay you the same amount we agreed on, you did work hard." Mr. U said as he whipped out his phone to carry out a transaction.
In less than 2 minutes, the other man sitting opposite him received a credit alert, and that made him happy. He quickly stretched out his hand for a handshake.
"It was nice doing business with you, Mr. U"
"You can leave now, and remember not to wag your tongue." Mr. U warned with a careless glance.
"I know, thanks for the treat." The man said happily and got up to leave.
After he left, Mr. U picked up the sketches on the table and glanced at them one more time before putting them back into the envelope.
Their fashion show was in 2 weeks, and he only had 10 designs for it, that were already in production. The remaining samples of sketches his creative arts department brought, were totally useless to him, so he had to find a means to complete the designs himself.
After sitting there for a while, Mr. U decided to leave. As he walked away, his gaze swept through the bar area, and there, he saw Bai Jun's familiar figure. He felt that Bai Jun seemed familiar, and took a detour towards her.
"Miss Bai, you seem to be having a good time." Mr. U said as he sat on the stop next to her.
Bai Jun glanced at him with a frown before asking, "I don't know you, and how do you know me?."
Mr. U chuckled and said to her, "I'm sorry for my ignorance, I am Mr. U, CEO of the U&ME collection. Miss Bai, don't you know how famous you are? You are a famous socialite, and besides, your husband's cheating made you more popular."
Bai Jun got angry at his second statement and warned him in a harsh tone. "Mr. U, if you came here to make fun of me, it would be good if you leave on time."
Mr. U did not intend to annoy her, so he quickly apologized to her, and it was only then that she calmed down.
"Why did you come to me?." Bai Jun asked as she picked up her shot glass.
"I saw a beautiful socialite like you sitting alone, so I got worried and decided to come and check on you." Mr. U replied with a smile.
"I don't need your pity and sympathy, and I don't need you to care for me, so you can be on your way." Bai Jun said as she waved her hand for him to leave, instead, Mr. U chuckled lightly.
"It's too early to leave, and the night is still young. You work for FJ, right? The Autumn fashion show is in a month and 2 weeks, shouldn't you be at home wresting and waiting for the new weeks so you can go to work and stress your life out?." Mr. U probed.
"FJ?" Bai Jun said and scoffed before drinking from her glass.
As someone who was desperate, Mr. U, picked up Bai Jun's slight actions immediately, and felt that things were wrong, and decided to probe more, as he might get a good opportunity for anything.
"What happened, were you mistreated? you look angry at the mention of FJ." Mr.. U said.
