Glancing at the caller ID, Jia did not react because if she does, Fu Hua will see it, so she answered the call.
"Brother Huan?" Jia Li called out in a calm tone.
Fu Hua glanced over as he immediately stopped laughing. How could he still be in the mood to be happy when a love rival was calling his wife.
"Is Fu Hua your husband?" Li Huan asked directly without returning her greeting.
Jia Li was surprised by his question but she still replied to him, "Yes."
There was a moment of silence before Li Huan spoke again, "Take care of yourself."
Jia Li put her phone down before glancing over at Fu Hua to see him looking at the papers before him. Initially, she felt his piercing gaze on her but now, it was gone.
After the call with Jia Li ended, Li Huan covered his face with his palms. The other day at Jia Li's graduation ceremony, he felt Fu Hua looked familiar when he saw him even though half of his face was covered by the mask.
He had just checked the internet again before calling Jia Li to confirm his doubts.
Such a huge figure was Jia Li's husband, how was it possible to compete for her love?
Since it was Sunday today, Fu Hua took Jia Li to the hospital for her doctor's appointment in the morning.
Dr. Clinton welcomed the two of them. She checked Jia Li and confirmed that everything was okay with her and the fetus.
Fu Hua mentioned the diet plan and the doctor forwarded a document to his Mail.
The doctor instructed Jia Li to drink up to 7 glasses of water every day. She was to take her weight every morning after using the toilet ? and record it on the paper she gave to her.
The doctor also told her about simple and healthy exercises and Yoga techniques to do every day.
From the hospital, Fu Hua took Jia Li to the store to buy a weighing scale to check her weight every morning. He didn't allow her to follow him into the store.
"Stay in the car, I will be back in 5 minutes." Fu Hua said to her just as she was about to take off her seatbelt.
"Why?" Jia Li asked with a confused gaze.
"You may not know it but you are slowly rising to fame." Fu Hua said with a smile before leaving the car.
Jia Li did not understand his words and she could not ask about them.
Fu Hua really came back in five minutes with a brown carton and put it in the car's boot before driving them to another store to get some healthy nuts like Almonds and Walnuts for Jia Li.
After buying those things for her, he drove them back home in time for lunch.
At the filming site, it looked like there was one person left for the filming to start. Everybody was waiting for Zhi Ruo.
She was supposed to have a scene with the female lead today but she was nowhere to be found. The director called her but couldn't reach her.
"If Zhi Ruo is not here in the next 10 minutes, we will postpone this scene." The director announced to everyone.
Fu Meixu was unmoved and had a smile on her face. She was not worried unlike the others.
2 minutes later, a white flashy car ? drove in. The car parked at the side and the front doors of the car opened.
Zhi Ruo who everyone has been waiting for stepped out of the car dressed in casual clothes along with the male that drove her there.
Zhi Ruo walked towards them and apologized. She said she had a little accident before coming out hence the delay.
She never mentioned what the accident was about but her apology was enough. The young man that came with her asked one of the staff to help him to take out the coffee they brought along with them.
Zhi Ruo apologized with the hot cups of coffee and the snacks she bought for them.
The director looked like he was no longer angry as everyone accounted for the coffee she brought with her.
Fu Meixu sneered at her but still accepted the coffee that was given to her.
"Sister Ruo is that your friend?" One of the members of the movie cast was good enough to ask.
Her question incurred the curiosity of the others. Even Fu Meixu was interested in her reply. She has seen that man before. He was the same person that came to pick her up when they held a wrap-up party for their last movie together.
Fu Meixu was interested in her reply this time around, she wanted to know what her reply would be.
Zhi Ruo chuckled softly with her hand over her mouth. Then she replied with a smile, "You misunderstood, he is my good friend that was kind enough to bring me to the filming site."
"Oh!" The actress that asks that question said in response and the rest of the crew said it was a pity and didn't disturb her again.
They felt that her good friend was so handsome and looked rich not to be her boyfriend.
Fu Meixu scoffed at Zhi Ruo's response because she refused to believe it.
'Why would a friend follow you to another city just to bring you to the filming tight?' Fu Meixu thought it was a big joke.
As the man that brought her got into the car and left after speaking to Zhi Ruo for a short while and saying goodbye to the crew, an idea came to Fu Meixu's head.
She smiled as she thought about it.
"Well, since she keeps denying that he is not her boyfriend but deliberately brings him to show off, it wouldn't be wrong if I snatch him from her right?"
That day, the filming went smoothly because Fu Meixu and Zhi Ruo had a tacit understanding not to cause trouble.
Zhi Ruo was happy her boyfriend agreed to bring her to the filming site after pleading with him for a long time, while Fu Meixu was occupied with her next plot against Zhi Ruo.
