"Not bad. Are you ready to make the dress?" Fu Hua asked as he placed the book on the desk and glanced at her.
Jia Li looked confused because of his question. Did she have to be ready to make the dress before she could make it?
"Do you know what it will take for you to make a dress like this?" Fu Hua asked while pointing at the draft.
"Yes. I have to get the right materials and fabrics." Jia Li replied.
"You are right, but it doesn't end there. You have to use white fabric, and dye it with the right color, before working on the material to make it look like this." Fu Hua said while pointing at the draft.
Jia Li studied the pattern of the purple cabbage and discovered how difficult it will be to make the dress like that. Then she looked at Fu Hua and said shamelessly, "I knew it will be a bit difficult, so I already planned to ask you for help when the right time comes."
Fu Hua narrowed his gaze at her and asked "Do you mean what you say?"
"Yes." Jia Li replied while nodding her head frantically.
Fu Hua gazed at her silently for a few seconds before looking away as he said, "I don't trust you."
Jia Li's eyeballs widened in shock and immediately ran to his side to convince him.
She knew he was very good with making dresses because he was very experienced with choosing the right materials and fabrics, and he knew the best stitches to use at the right places.
With this lacking knowledge she needed, she has to do everything to make him teach her and help her out.
So, it would be right to say that Fu Hua would help to cover her weak point.
"I'm serious. You are so good at making dresses, and your skill is the best. When you helped me with my assignment, I knew how good you were. So, when my project was given to me, I thought about you immediately."
Fu Hua glanced at her with doubt. He couldn't even see through her now. He had no idea if she was telling the truth or not.
Since he didn't want to accept her words so easily, he asked, "I am the CEO of a big designing company and you can see how busy I am every day. I only do things that will profit me, so what are you willing to give to me after receiving my help?" Fu Hua asked with his gaze on her.
"You want something from me?" Jia Li asked.
She didn't know what a rich man like him wanted from a poor girl like her.
"Yes, I don't want to teach you for free. I want you to pay the price for knowledge so you will value it." Fu Hua replied.
Jia Li thought that what he said made sense. Knowledge acquired freely may be taken for granted, but when you pay the price to gain knowledge of a particular skill you need, you will value the efforts you went through for it.
Fu Hua saw that she has bought the idea and smiled to himself.
He actually told her the truth even though he had another thought in mind.
"Okay, what do you want from me, I don't have any money to give to you." Jia Li said straightforwardly.
If he asks her for money, she wouldn't be able to give it to him, because she didn't have it. She only had her monthly allowance Grandfather Fu was always sent to her, and a rich man like Fu Hua wouldn't be satiated even if she gave him everything.
"You don't have money?" Fu Hua asked. He wasn't asking because he was expecting money from her, but because it just occurred to him that he has never given any money to her.
Jia Li remained silent with her gaze on him.
Without wasting time, Fu Hua whipped out his phone and asked for her bank account details.
"You want to give me money?" Jia Li asked in surprise.
"Yes. Call it quickly." Fu Hua urged her.
Without wasting time, Jia Li called her bank account number for him, and right there, she received an answer of 50,000 USD.
After sending the money to her, Fu Hua saved her account details as a beneficiary, so he wouldn't need to ask for it again the next time he would want to send some money to her.
Jia Li's mouth was agape in shock when she saw the huge amount of money sitting in her account.
"Why did you send this much? I can't use it all." Jia Li queries him.
"Let's talk about business. What will you give to me in exchange for mentoring you?" Fu Hua asked, totally ignoring her question.
'How did we come back to that?' Jia Li thought. She was thinking since he sent her money, there wouldn't be any need to talk about that matter again, but she was wrong.
"Should I send your money back to me?" She asked as she showed her phone to him.
Fu Hua frowned upon her words.
"What do you want, tell me, I will try to fulfill it." Jia Li said to him at last.
"Are you not being faster than your shadows? Don't you want to know what I want?" Fu Hua asked with an interesting gaze.
"What do you want then?" Jia Li asked.
If it was to be his slave for a month, she can do anything to get him to help her with her project.
"It's too late. You have already agreed without asking. You owe me one." Fu Hua said as he dismissed the matter.
"Will, you at least give me a heads up when you want me to repay you?" Jia Li asked.
"I don't give a heads up, I can only give you head." Fu Hua said with a smirk.
Jia Li was confused as she didn't understand the nonsense he was talking about.
Fu Hua regained his sense of humor and smiled because teasing his innocent wife was so fun.
If only Jia Li knew what giving head (sexual interpretation) means, she would have preferred she messed up with her project or asked Grandfather Fu to help her find a coach.
